Today is the 20th anniversary of THE Maid Uniform & Machine Gun! We released an English patch for it a couple years ago.

I got a PVM.

It had demos for the xbox one before it came out. Then they hired the Vancouver Zombie Walk to swarm it to promote Dead Rising 3. Then a while later Capcom shut down Capcom Vancouver. A classmate in university was fired from there for leaking secrets on neogaf so he could argue with forum posters.

I got to enter the giant publicity stunt xbox they plopped down in downtown Vancouver 13 years ago because it was right next to work.

I hate the PSP/Wii font so much but it's objectively the right choice for this game so I'll bear it.

I spent a day fixing a critical save import bug in the Gunslinger Girl patch. It's a multi disc game and it was reporting save files from earlier discs as corrupt. The culprit? The save file icon. The disc builder was padding the 3D model by a few bytes and the game would no longer recognize it.

I got a flat top CRT that can daisy chain and I gotta say it rules. This is the cyberpunk future.

I got this anniversary xbox controller because of a price error years ago and sometimes I check the battery cover for this blithering pleasantry from then CEO Phil Spencer. And I smile a wicked smile.
