Location: Dahiwal, Nashik, Maharashtra Date: July 19 Pranian Foundation cow vigilantes chased a private car transporting meat, used spikes to deflate its tyres, and intercepted the vehicle. They assaulted the Muslim driver, stopping only after he pleaded for mercy.
Location: Ganpati Dham, Haridwar, Uttarakhand Date: July 18 Hindu nationalist supporters entered the home of a Hindu woman, assaulted the Muslim man present, and tied him to a pole with a dog leash, accusing him of indulging in “love jihad.”
Location: Bharatpur, Rajasthan Date: July 18 Cow vigilante Pawan Kumar and his associates went to a Muslim household and assaulted the men, terming them ‘jihadi’, and accusing them of verbally abusing Hindu women in the village.
Location: Khoda Colony, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 19 Hindu Raksha Dal members, including Krishna Thakur and Sonu Sharma, assaulted a Muslim man at a residence, accusing him of engaging in “love jihad” for being with a Hindu woman.
Location: Parner, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra Date: July 15 A man transporting meat was stopped and harassed by cow vigilantes, who accused him of transporting beef. The vigilantes publicly humiliated the man before handing him over to the police.
Location: Barra, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 15 Madhuram Sharan Shiva, founder of the armed monks’ group Shiv Shakti Akhada, addressed a gathering where he targeted Christian missionary schools and labelled parents who send their children to such schools as “traitors” and “fake Hindus.”
Location: Deola, Nashik, Maharashtra Date: July 11 Cow vigilantes pursued a private car in a high-speed chase before deploying spikes to burst all four tyres. They then intercepted the vehicle and seized the cattle inside, alleging that the animals were being transported for slaughter.
Location: Haryana Date: July 10 Cow vigilantes affiliated with Cheetah Group and Gau Raksha Dal, including Tarun Pandit, Sachin Mehrana, and Yogi Dehraj, assaulted two men transporting cattle in a truck after chasing them & puncturing the tyres with spikes, alleging that they were cattle smugglers.
Location: Orai, Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 14 Authorities demolished a portion of Mamu-Bhanje mazar (shrine), alleging it was an illegal encroachment along a public road. Officials carried out demolition under heavy police deployment as part of a road-widening and sewer construction project.
Location: Vasai, Palghar, Maharashtra Date: July 13 Far-right Hindu nationalist Pradeep Mishra Vijay forced a Muslim man to apologise for allegedly insulting the RSS and made him chant "Jai Shri Ram," "Vande Mataram," and "Om Namah Shivaya" on camera.
Location: Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 12 Members of Hindu nationalist organisations, including Prashant Sharma of VHP-Bajrang Dal and Vikas Thakur and Satyam of Kranti Sena, brutally assaulted a Muslim man after seeing him with a Hindu woman, accusing him of engaging in “love jihad.”
Location: Maharashtra Date: July 1 Cow vigilantes affiliated with Milind Ekbote's Samasta Hindu Aghadi intercepted a truck transporting cattle, forced the cattle transporters to dance on camera, and later handed them over to the police.
Location: Unhel, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh Date: July 4 Police paraded a Muslim man arrested over allegations of slaughtering cattle and disposing of the remains in a well near an agricultural field, after VHP-Bajrang Dal members informed police, claiming that a farmer had alerted them to incident.
Location: Khoda, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 7 Cow vigilante Rishi Rajput and his associates assaulted and paraded a man accusing him of engaging in “love jihad.”
Location: Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 9 Vishva Hindu Parishad members, accompanied by the police, raided a Christian prayer meeting and accused those present of engaging in religious conversion. They seized Bibles and other religious materials as evidence, and police arrested the pastor.
Location: Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 5 The district administration demolished a madrasa following a complaint by advocate Ajit Tripathi, claiming that the madrasa was illegally constructed on government land.
Location: Maharashtra Date: July 6 Cow vigilantes associated with the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal assaulted a Muslim man transporting buffalo meat in a pickup vehicle. The man was beaten, stripped naked, and garlanded in an act of public humiliation.
Location: Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 5 Police initiated an investigation against Madarsa Darul Uloom Rahimiya over allegations of a large scale religious conversion conspiracy, following a social media video by far-right monk Swami Yashveer Maharaj making such claims.
Location: Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 4 Members of VHP-Bajrang Dal, accompanied by the police, disrupted a Christian prayer meeting over allegations of engaging in religious conversion. Police arrested four individuals following their complaint.
Location: Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh Date: July 7 Members of Hindu nationalist organisations assaulted a Muslim man carrying meat, alleging that it was beef. Police confiscated the meat and sent it for forensic analysis.
Location: Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh Date: July 2 Cow vigilantes affiliated with Veer Bhagat Singh Gau Raksha Dal assaulted two men transporting cattle and vandalised their pickup truck, accusing them of cattle smuggling.
Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh Date: June 28 During an AHP–Rashtriya Mahila Parishad and Ojaswini training camp, leader Rajni Thukral provided weapons training to participants, including instruction in the use of firearms and sticks.
Location: Subhashgram, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal Date: July 5 Hindu nationalist supporters attacked a church under construction and destroyed multiple crosses on it while chanting "Jai Shri Ram."
Location: Ahmad Nagar, Udam Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand Date: July 4 Authorities demolished a mazar (shrine), alleging it was an illegal encroachment occupying approximately five bighas of government land. Officials carried out the demolition under heavy police deployment.
Location: Bangaon, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal Date: June 27 Members of the Hindu Jagaran Manch went door-to-door surveying Muslim households, branding residents as encroachers and accusing Muslim families of illegally occupying land as part of an alleged demographic campaign.
Location: Gonda, Uttar Pradesh Date: June 20 Cow vigilantes assaulted, stripped, and tied up two men after accusing them of cow smuggling.
Location: Kandla, Kutch, Gujarat Date: June 29 Authorities demolished the Juna Kandla Mosque in a midnight demolition drive, claiming that it was an encroachment on government land. The mosque had reportedly been registered as a waqf property since 1965.
Location: Pehruwala, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh Date: June 26 Authorities demolished an under-construction mosque, alleging it was being built without official permission. The action followed a complaint filed by members of the Hindu Raksha Dal, led by Kaushik Tyagi.
Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Date: May 26-31 At a “Veer Hindu Vijeta Hindu” Shaurya training camp organised by the AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, participants received training in the use of firearms and traditional weapons.
Location: Karnal, Haryana Date: June 25 Cow vigilantes affiliated with Gau Raksha Dal and VHP-Bajrang Dal brutally assaulted two Muslim cow transporters over an allegation of cow smuggling.
