Dieses von vornherein ängstliche, geduckte, devote Berichten über die stumpfsinnigen Drohungen des orangen Vergewaltigers sind symptomatisch dafür wie das bürgerliche Establishment den Nazis die Tür aufhält.

Yes. Trump personally is vindictive because he is vain or megalomaniacal. But the entire endeavor as a whole is so stupid and dysfunctional that it does not go beyond the complexity of an amoeba. It just wants to feed and expand and assimilate/destroy weaker things. I made a picture previously:
