It's awful. This was the view from my deck. Thankfully the wind didn't shift and the fire didn't come my way. A few hunting cabins were lost, but no homes. It hurts to see what is left behind.
Devastation from the Jacket Lake Wildfire, July 2026. This fire was burning approximately 6km from my home. VERY scary. My important things are still packed, and probably will stay that way for the rest of the Summer. Thankfully, no homes or lives were lost. Firefighters deserve WAY more credit!!
