I don't see Codeberg doing a community Q&A tonight at 18:00 UTC heyyoooooooooooooo
Nothing merged yet, and I'm not 100% sure if they're coming with 0.5, so they may still be some time away. :( Here are screenshots from the first PoC, but it really only was exactly that. Very basic, just wanted to test my hypothesis regarding the data structure flexibility.
No, I don't want to give an app I don't know, run by a person I don't know, pretty much full control over my PDS
We're doing a Chatto Community Q&A thing tonight at 21:00 CEST. Come join us in the Chatto HQ community at chat.chatto.run - sorry, no AT Proto login *yet* :)
Want to follow multiple channels in parallel? Open more windows/tabs. It's just a web app! (A "pro mode" with docking/tabbed windows is planned for 1.0)
I like how nice and tidy Chatto looks in smol mode (ie. with both sidebars hidden)
It is 2026. I have three decades of professional software development experience. My job now consists of manually typing "BAZINGA!" into a chat input. It works.
Giving the @chatto.run call UI some more upgrades just in time for the upcoming 0.4.0 release.
Verily, 'tis the only Fable that mattereth unto me, for therein may I kick chickens.
Chatto now uses Protocol Buffers over the wire. Requests for fetching new pages when scrolling have gone from ~50KB to ~6 KB. Each request around ~40-50ms RTT. I think it's fast enough now, what do you reckon? (In the video I'm loading data from my EU cluster, not my local machine!)
The reply they gave here is even worse. My only hope is that this is not an official account, but someone taking the piss.
