The pics I'm seeing from the fires in North America reminded me of this one I took in Whanganui when smoke from Australian wildfires almost obscured the sun. I thought what a terrible way for the new year to begin, it had to get better from here. Reader, I took this photo on January 1st, 2020.
Companies need to stop with this absolute nonsense. I don't need lemon, lavender, or especially coffee scented trash bags. I need trash bags that don't split down the side the first time I try to use them. Yes, I still bought them because they were on sale and 1/2 the price of the other ones.
A Kiwi I follow reposted a Baltimore friend I follow (and know IRL) and the NZ 2 degrees phenomenon is worldwide. And they’re both fucking right.
If Deanie could give a review about this heated throw blanket she’d give it five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Deanie won’t eat her dry food while I’m in the kitchen on the off chance I might murder her but will lounge on my lap like this.
An ad I saw today. I mean, they’re right, those styles are discontinued. The whole company has been discontinued. This whole Allbirds to AI pivot has been bizarre.
It makes me sad that I live in the same world as people who do this. A couple did eventually show up from who knows where to reclaim their trolley and keep shopping but damn, what is wrong with people?
I’m taking tomorrow off work so I can watch Orioles Opening Day so wearing my jersey today so I can represent. Slowly indoctrinating my coworkers into baseball.
Oh????? You don't say, Washington Post. Rabid overarmed, untrained thugs haven't helped long TSA lines? I'm shocked. Shocked, I say!
My kiwi cousin made this “Melt Ice” hat for me!! The design was inspired by hats Norwegians wore in the 1940s as a way of protesting the Nazi occupation.
This cat, who at a minimum acts like I am trying to murder her at least twice a day, also goes nearly comatose with belly rubs. Needless to say, I love her so much.
I always mean to print and frame some photos from my trips but never get around to it. But that changes now! Just ordered a print of this otherworldly landscape shot I took at Orakei Korako Geothermal Park.
OH MY GOD, Baltimore Bluesky! For the love of all things sport(s), go to this game!
I googled because I couldn't quite remember the year and this was the top result. FUCK OFF, AI TRASH I WAS THERE.
I'm beyond tired with this headline again and again. Try "Man hit by driver of car" for fucking once. The car is not sentient. THE PERSON DRIVING THE CAR HIT THE MAN.
Washington Post headline. Didn't read the article since I've cancelled my subscription but I'm guessing it doesn't say "Move out of the USA." I get more sick leave (yes, I know, paid sick leave, gasp) now than my entire PTO at my last job in America.
Top 10 words: 1- Game 2- Deanie 3- Morning 4- Bowls 5- Book 6- Wellington 7- Show 8- Started 9- Baseball 10- Books Honestly surprised no curse words in the top 10.
Deanie and I had delicious Xmas breakfasts today. Mine was buttered sourdough toast topped with an egg fried in olive oil and sprinkled with shredded cheddar and homegrown chives with a side of bacon. Deanie had Temptations. She followed up w/ the traditional attacking of the catnip Xmas avocado.
I am blown away, Santa!! You are absolutely right, I did need that special edition of 1984 😄 The mug is gorgeous and will be going with me to work tomorrow to become my special office mug. Love the teas, chocolate, bookmark, and adorable stickers. Thank you, thank you, thank you! #SecretSantaAoNZ
Friday pūtangitangi roll call! All nine "ducklings" accounted for along with mum (dad just out of the shot). Looks like I pulled the trigger too early declaring them all males as a few are starting to show white around their bills. What can I say, I know almost nothing about ducks.
Look what I got today! It’s gorgeous, can’t wait until opening day. #SecretSantaAoNZ
