I fed a couple of crows that regularly come to the back garden as usual this morning. They've then left me a gift (photo taken inside - they didn't put it on my desk 😂).

I've got 0 episodes waiting to be played from the podcasts that I subscribe to - this is the first time ever. I doubt it'll last long.

Looking forward to giving 4 talks today at the Japan-Scotland Community Cultural Festival today. Going to be covering a wide range of topics. I just hope that my voice holds up as I've got a cold and it's been a while since I last did 4 talks in a day.

Today I visited Lockerbie. Given my work on JAL123, it's strange that I've never been before. I got here too late to visit the museums, but at least I could see and pay my respects at two memorials. Strangely, while there I got the news of the passing of one of my teachers from 1988. RIP

After following a podcast that uses the book, I got a copy during a visit to Göteborg. And what a book. This copy is so beautifully presented. For someone learning Swedish it seems perfect. Looking forward to reading it (and relistening to the relevant podcast episodes).

There's always live music on in Liverpool - especially on Mathew Street. My first time to go to the Monday Club at the Cavern Pub, where each act gets to do 1 or 2 songs (or poems). One guy was from Shrewsbury... don't worry, it wasn't me, I'd have got thrown out if I tried singing 😂

I don't know how many times I saw the Ferry Cross the Mersey when I looked up from my computer as I was writing. Every time it put a smile on my face. The view was beautiful and inspiring as it was, but the Ferry just takes it to another level.

The view from the flat I stayed in for a couple of days in Liverpool. Where I was able to get so much writing done (and apply for REBECCA tickets 😂)
