"The Teddy Throwsevelts" as a team name for a national park themed curling league is pretty high on my team name list in the 8 years I've been curling.
I have recently gotten hooked on Jet Lag: The Game, and this has too much meme potential.
Spent an extended weekend in Yellowstone, largely absent from social media and the internet. Camped at Grant Village and spent every sunrise and sunset somewhere along the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake
When the new look Team Shuster was trying to round out their roster, Shuster and new High Performance Director were focused one primary skillset: sweeping. You can improve shooting, but as Gushue put it so aptly: "You can't teach strength." More: www.thegrandslamofcurling.com/news/brad-gu...
Team registered for 2026-2027 in CurlingZone. June 10th, and next season is already here. (If you or your employer want to sponsor my mixed doubles team for next year, let me know!)
In addition to Spotted Cow, grabbed a 4-pack of New Glarus Raspberry Tart on the brief trip across the border!
I started using duckduckgo a week ago for this very reason. They have settings that made it real easy to not use any of that garbage
Brad Gushue was named today as the High Performance Director for USA Curling. Will it work out? It's hard to say. But it's a hire I didn't see coming. For more: www.curlingintheusa.com/p/swinging-f...
USA Curling announcing Brad Gushue as their new High Performance Director. Of all the names I mulled over as possibilities, this was never one of them. He retired at his hometown Brier, now he takes leadership over the program of his neighbors to the south.
This popped up in my memories, and it feels like a lifetime ago. Then I realize that it kinda was, it's been a decade since I wore the green and gray.
You liked the update the other day from Dallas-Fort Worth? Well here's another one. Great progress coming along on 5 sheets of dedicated ice in Huntsville, AL for @rocketcitycurling.bsky.social More info on their FB post: www.facebook.com/share/p/18Po...
Dallas-Fort Worth Curling Club shared some images of progress on their dedicated curling facility. The club has been working on this dream for years, and 5 sheets of dedicated curling ice in the 4th-largest metro in the country is about to be a reality.
Due to my my 6-year-old running watch finally showing its age, I decided it was time to buy a new one so I didn't have to worry about it for my race this weekend. I went to my local running store and bought one last week.
Gotta love it when friends and family have weddings near national parks. It was a great weekend in and around Rocky Mountain National Park.
Sweden is golden once again! Niklas Edin wins his 8th world championship. What a clinical performance in the gold medal game.
Pressure is palpable here at the Weber County Ice Sheet. Turns out a 7-time world champ knows what he is talking about.
Back for the 2pm draw. There is a possibility that the entire playoff field is determined after this draw. Scenario for that to happen: Sweden def. Germany Italy def. Japan USA def. Norway
I am not sure if anyone is having more fun than Italy. About halfway through this interview, Amos Mosaner was behind the camera doing whatever he could to get Spiller to laugh. Italy is having fun playing with the young skip!
