For voters in Redwood City, just know that the California Apartment Association will roll out a massive misinformation campaign that's funded by corporate landlords. Don't believe a word that the CAA and corporate landlords say. padailypost.com/2026/05/24/r...

Over the weekend, we held the National Conference on Rent Control & Tenant Rights in New York City. After two days of terrific meetings and panels, it's clear that we need a national rent control movement to properly fight Big Real Estate and to pass rent control.
Minnesota activist Margaret Kaplan, of Center for Urban and Regional Affairs, says about tenant rights: "We can't sit around with what we have. We need to expand it." Tell your elected leaders that they must protect tenants against predatory landlords.
Donald Whitehead, of National Coalition for the Homeless, says about unaffordable rents and homelessness: "We have a crisis on our hands. We have to come together" to fix it. We must build a people-power movement!

LA activist Susie Shannon, of Housing Is A Human Right, says: "Corporate landlords are operating nationally, if not internationally, and they are buying up politicians." Elected officials must not take campaign cash from Big Real Estate. They must pass strong tenant rights!
Chicago activist Rod Wilson, of Lugenia Burns Hope Center, says we must hold ALL politicians accountable: "We live in a representational democracy. So we need to tell them what to do." You must tell your elected officials that we need rent control to end unfair, sky-high rents.

Corporate landlords and their PR consultants are insulting our intelligence. We all know that corporate landlords and other predatory landlords are charging outrageous rents to beef up obscene profits. Only rent control will rein them in.
