Studying Art History makes me feel like the type of protagonist I make fun of: "If they love this subject so much, WHY ARE THEY FALLING ASLEEP IN THE VERY CLASS THAT TEACHES IT?!!"
Starting out, I winged it based on manga I liked, then got a bit more of an understanding for art direction and story structure when I got my "how to draw shoujo" book. Reading Bakuman in high school introduced me to how the industry worked. I also gained a lot from screenwriting classes in college.
Made this lil' chibi me for a life update post on Insta. Felt strange to draw myself with normal anime eyes lol.
Will there be any patches or stickers of this in the future? I need something to replace the torn one on my bag.
When I color an illustration...I should really start with the clothes. They're my LEAST favorite part to shade. I have so much fun shading faces and hair, but then I lose all momentum when I'm left with all these clothes to do 😭
