For the first time in my life I'm not hyped or excited with my birthday coming. It's supposed to be the only date I'd feel better and special, I'd treat myself with some self-indulgent piece and spend time with people, but this year feels just too far from that idea.

Since TFS, I've been on the team of "wait for D3", not only due to its ending I've talked before, but the state of Bungie itself had become frustrating to keep supporting. Now, if D2's closure is for good or bad, I guess only time will tell, but maybe I can say... This timeloop is finally broken.

And I'm not even mentioning the REAL issue that is DCV and paid content removal that Bungie will most likely never solve at all with the ending of D2's live-service period. Safe to say more than half of D2 experience turned into "oh boy you HAD to be there", and I'm glad I got to draw some of them.

Sure, some stuff in D2 I'd much prefer to be much different (still have the unpop opinion of disliking SotWitch plot, still questioning everyday about Elsie's timeloop), but for me to care this much to keep whining, it's because of the devs' hard work for this universe that made us care for.

I quit Destiny after The Final Shape, like many other players, as that was more than a fitting ending both for the story Bungie devs created over the decade, as well as my own story for my Guardian OC. But to this day I still kept eyes over the game and its discussions. Who knew if I'd come back?

Something that I've always told my friends about gaming was that Destiny 2 was a personal incoherence (a live-service and FPS hater since teenager, a co-op/mmo avoider, and one of the worst unlucky looters I know), and yet, D2 had become one of the most important games of my whole life.

Of course there are emotional triggers, and thanks to CBT I can figure them out quite fast and work around them rationally, but in the end my brain got //hurt// and I can't do batshit about it other than wait it to heal and hold any urge to make a mistake 🧍‍♀️ anyway, back to the normal activities
