"I can’t wait to see Tobey do the walk in front of the newspaper in maybe about 10 minutes"
"Are there any actual wrestling events where one guy stands in a cage and throws so many guys out that they need a line out the door like a cattle farm"
"Those little lines on Tobey’s face are Seabiscuit scars right? From being too good at being bad at horses?"
"Tobey Macquire has the doughy face of a baby sometimes" "There’s a way they composite real Tobey’s face onto a little CGI running Tobey that made me snort"
a 🧵 of observations i made while really going through it with this movie "It’s so fun watching Tobey get mad in the background!! What a little shit. Also this movie has already lasted a million years somehow" "I forgot there’s just a scary fucking skull when he turns into spider man"
075: Spider-Man (2002) 🔁🪴 i promise i do other stuff other than getting high and watching movies!!!!! anyways i was right there with Gobby in the chamber on this one. i felt like i was watching the opening credits for 30 minutes and my head got so hot. a good movie and an excellent zooted watch
featuring a returning character from the same broader 'series', unexpectedly playing the role of a shopkeeper and coyly dodging questions about what his presence might actually mean about any connections between the two works
074: Face/Off 🔁🪴 seemed like a good movie to watch while getting zooted and yeah i'm a genius. all-timer stupid premise, Nicolas Cage does so many big choices in the first 15 minutes alone, but then the middle gets all sloppy with "nyeh, i'm gonna use the face swap to be a big creep", so like. ehhhh
073: DELTARUNE Chapter 5 Toby Fox continues to piece together one of the greatest games of all time. i'm so delighted that there's still so many surprises as we approach the home stretch, and i could be here all day talking about what these characters mean to me. Tricky Tony Does It Again
gavan infinity: wow, so many amazing worlds out there! what a gavibe! omegahorn:
071: Avatar: The Last Airbender (Book 1) 🔁 "wait, but you just watched Book 2, why did you-" the thing is that Avatar is actually fucking awesome and any time someone i know says "hey i'm gonna watch this show", i cave immediately and join in. there's never been a bad time to watch this show
070: Birdemic: Shock and Terror one of the all-timer funny watches i'd somehow never done! i think it says something about how much of a non-movie this is that i watched it last night and forgot to jot it down until i woke up. don't think i have anything to say that hasn't been said. it's Birdemic
069: Shovel Knight: King of Cards you can feel the "go big or go home" all over this game; it's building on six years of platforming pedigree, and also, fuck it, why not add a card game. it can be a bit frustrating, but only because it's swinging for the fences, and it hits way more than it misses
068: Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment 🔁 i would die on the hill that this is one of the best 2D platformers ever made. go play it right now. atmospheric, creative, and packed to the brim with cool-ass ways to use its cool-ass mechanics. Specter Knight really is just sick as hell is the thing
067: Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows i'd never beaten this one before, because it's kind of a pain in the ass. still kind of is? i understand the janky charm of this playstyle a lot more though, now, and the story is pretty adorable. let Mona and her short boyfriend be normal about potions together
066: Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope 🔁 seeing everyone talk about how good Mina is had me wanting to go back to the roots! it's weird to think that this 'throwback' game is in and of itself getting kind of old now, but i think it has the same timeless charm as the NES classics that inspired it.
065: Spider-Noir wouldn't call this amazing, but it feels like a show where everyone involved was having a lot of fun. the cinematography's on point, the cast's real solid, you get to watch Nic Cage have a spider nightmare. what more can you ask for? B-grade show punching WELL above its weight
064: High School Musical 3: Senior Year never saw this one before my friends resolved to watch the full trilogy! it feels weird watching one of these with color grading and other stuff movies do. for what it's worth, it's probably the best balance of dumb fun and coherency? solid for what it is
Surprise 世界中がDrive! (It's faster than ever) Feelin' high 目醒めるような (Drivin' Show me) 始まる 運命には (keep chasin' forever) バックギアはない… Halo coke and fries
063: High School Musical 2 🔁 you can feel Disney going "this thing's hitting these kids like crack. give them the money to shoot outdoors." it's a lot more movie-shaped and honestly kind of worse for it, but then it's like, fuuuck, this is the one with the baseball song, i can't hate it that much
062: High School Musical 🔁 with one friend group's regular programming on hold, expect things to get real dumb (affectionate) they really cast a guy who couldn't sing yet but was already very good at Distressed Theater Kid Pantomime. and it worked on all of us! not much more to be said.
