First royal visit by HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip on 14 and 25 November 1953. A pictorial issue of 9 November featuring the white-tailed tropical bird (Phaeton favirostris, now Phaeton lepturus) with "ROYAL VISIT 1953" added, and issued 26 November.

Issued to commemorate Mexico's hosting of the II Pan American Games in Mexico City in 1955. 20c: torchbearer and University Stadium; 25c airmail: Tezcatlipoca, Aztec god of providence and map of the Americas with the route of the torch relay; 35c airmail: part of the stadium, and torch relay route.

Here's a 5 lempira airmail imperforate souvenir stamp/sheet issued to commemorate the XI Pan American Games held in Havana, Cuba, in 1991. The stamp features swimming, and the Games' mascot, Tocopan (from Cuba's national bird, the Tocororo, and the first three letters of Pan American).

Tunisia's two stamps commemorating the centenary of the International Meteorological Organization (IMO) in 1973, now the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The 25 millimes stamp features the WMO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

Barbados issued this souvenir sheet to commemorate their hosting of the 35th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Bridgetown in 1989: the stamp features the Mace, and the sheet features the Parliament building.

Vietnam issued four stamps to commemorate the IX Asiad held in New Delhi, India, in 1982. The stamps featured table tennis, swimming, wrestling, and rifle shooting.

Well, they didn't make it out of Group F this year, but they did host the 6th World Cup in 1958, where Brazil beat them 5-2 in the final, with the Brazilian team featuring a promising 17-year-old named Pelé...

I think the 1981 Royal Wedding issues are the only ones I have with only "Nevis" on them. Here's the $4.50 souvenir sheet from that set, using an omnibus design that was used by many Commonwealth countries.

Qatar issued these four imperforate souvenir sheets for the 1966 World Cup (and congrats to England and the USA for getting through to the Group of 16!)

Malaysian several souvenir sheets for their hosting of the XVI Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. This one features weightlifting, badminton, netball, shooting, men’s hockey, women’s hockey, cycling, bowls, gymnastics, cricket, rugby, running, swimming, squash, boxing, and 10-pin bowling!

Lebanon issued this set of four to commemorate their hosting of the 2nd Pan-Arab Games in Beirut in 1957. The stamps feature running (2.50 piastres), football (12.50 piastres), fencing (35 piastres airmail), and President Camille Chamoun with a stadium (50 piastres airmail)
