The copy drawing of the panel from The Summer Hikaru Died, Chapter 1, Volume 1 by Mokumokuren. Line-work and color done in procreate. I tried to recreate it as close as possible to the manga drawing, cause I like it much more than the anime composition of this shot.

The background is a solid yellow color. Hikaru is facing the camera and his face is dissolving into multi-colored mass - blue, pink and purple hues intermixed.

It’s a shame that Netflix anime didn’t have the budget or time to truly go ham on the colors of the mysterious entity that Hikaru is supposed to be.
