New caption. Caption: Journalism is the only profession protected by the Constitution. We all know about the attacks on the legacy press such as the @nytimes.com @washingtonpost.com ABC News among others.
Guess who’s coming on an Odyssey with the @translash.org podcast? Find out this Thursday!! It’s gonna be epic.
Trans women are blamed for everything. Find out how we did it in my new documentary. Who’s watchin?! 😂🎬
250 years ago today, America was created. Then too there was all powerful executive whose dominance over everyday life seemed without end. Today we are reminded that nothing lasts forever, and that eventually power reaches its limits. The cause of freedom is still worthy.
I was asked to reflect about what democracy means as America turns 250 today by the @fordfoundation.org. As a trans journalist I had a lot to say. Here’s what I wrote. www.fordfoundation.org/news-and-sto...
The attack on trans people is not trans people’s fault. It is irresponsible for the @washingtonpost.com to imply that in their analysis of the SCOTUS sports ruling.
Of the people. By the people. For the people. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln used these words to define the American experiment. Today, 250 years after our founding, that definition is still our ultimate goal, and our unfinished work.
Sports has always been the entry point, but it is not the final stop. I’ve said this since I started covering the Hecox v. Little anti-trans sports case which the Supreme Court ruled on today.
On the last day of Pride Month, the Supreme Court has voted to allow states to bar transgender athletes from playing girls’ sports. Their stated goal is to deny constitutional protections for trans people, and this is just another box to check on their list.
#Juneteenth is Black and Trans. And in 2026 it takes on a whole new meaning given the political climate which is assaulting both identities simultaneously. But Juneteenth reminds us that no one is free until we are all free. There’s no Black freedom without trans freedom.
Don’t get me started! I actually hate horror movies which makes our current time excruciating. But horror is not only real it is also imagined, which makes it camp AF! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Even at a time of great difficulty what are you going to say “yes” to because yes is the word that liberates and transforms. I’m so glad that my message resonated with the 1000-strong attendance at the #CelebrateWomen NY Women’s Foundation breakfast. Thanks to Ana for the power of your vision.
This #MemorialDay, I’m thinking about how crucial the right to vote is for democracy. So one week later I’m still processing my time at the #AllRoadsSouth event in Alabama last weekend. Thank you to @blackvotersmatterfund.org @fairfightaction.bsky.social @legaldefensefund.bsky.social
The numbers are in and this year’s #CelebratingWomen Breakfast was a success. I’m so proud to be on the board of the New York Women’s Foundation. The breakfast helps to support amazing women and gender expansive led organizations working to improve economic security…
With the National Action Day for Voting Rights coming up this weekend, I stopped by @msnowreports.bsky.social @theweekendprime.bsky.social to talk about the resent-driven, raw politics that’s fueling the elimination of equal voting power in America right now.
What an honor it is for @translash.org’s The Anti-Trans Hate Machine podcast to receive the 2026 The Webby Awards for Best Public Service & Activism Podcast. Partied all night with the best team in the biz!
We believe in the power of creativity. We believe in the power of our culture. We believe in the power of our community. Thrilled to be at Comfrey Film’s Black Trans Short Film Festival in Durham, NC. Come check out the festivities this weekend!
Building power and creating societal change means building news and narrative organizations organizations! Influencers are important but they can’t take place of what we’re losing with the intentional destruction of sources devoted to informing the public. Thanks @healingjusticeldn.bsky.social!
We were included in yesterday’s Webby awards winners announcement. Thank you to everyone who voted for The Anti-Trans Hate Machine for Best Public Service & Activism Podcast. Thanks also for everyone who listens and believes in us. We are celebrating today but, trust and believe, the work continues.
The EEOC’s decision to no longer pursue employment gender identity discrimination cases not only flies in face of a Supreme Court decision but rests on a dangerous idea: that trans people are not real.
Talking about the SAVE Act and how voter discrimination hurts all women, not just trans women, on The Joy Reid Show. Because the goal is actually to exclude anyone who disagrees with those currently in power. Thanks for listening and keeping it real, @joyannreid.bsky.social! 💜
Voting season has begun! And I need your help. TransLash is nominated for three Webby awards: Anti-Trans Hate Machine (vote for a single episode or the whole series), TransLash podcast, and @translash.org website. Cast your vote at the link below by April 16!
I am participating in Glisten’s Day of Silence to stand in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ students to raise awareness about bullying and harassment including from the governmental entities designed to protect them.
Pam Bondi is out of a job! Now most of media is focused on her Epstein file legacy. However few people are discussing her role in weaponizing the law enforcement system, first in Florida and then nationwide, against trans people.
As I wrote for @msnewsdesk.bsky.social, the Supreme Court ruling on conversion therapy “did more than revive a discredited practice that harms children. It advanced a broader project: erasing transgender people from public life.” Check out my piece and let me know what you think. #SCOTUS
Still thinking about this past weekend’s #TransDayOfVisibility celebration in Chattanooga, TN! I met so many inspiring individuals including St. Jude, Chen, and Calaghan, who I interviewed below.
