I'll mostly be posting about table top RPGs, CGI, photography and writing but also probably whatever random thought crosses my mind Liverpool (the place not the FC) I do back end website development and accessibility for a living
Previous owners had an accidental, sparkly goth taste in decor The moths seem to appreciate it's camouflage potential
Odds the Evri delivery that's 2 days late but just switched to out for delivery comes now I'm sat down to eat?
Messing around with using GDS style summary lists as a way of laying out a random table because I hate making tables in Affinity Dice icons Delapouite under CC BY 3.0 from game-icons.net Globe by me
But what else can I put in my decorative dice cylinder to go with other decorative cylinders?
This (and some more) thought brought from putting the slabs back which now needs time to adhere before the next step
This is slugger, part of the local magpie mob - they hunt slugs in my garden following a very particular path Anteater is another who knows where the Ants are found The moss puller twins like something found under my patios moss The last member of the gang I've dubbed buffet as they eat anything
Lobelia at the front and burgonia at the the back to add some colour now tulips, daffs and bluebells have died back in my herb bed Plus a mix of containers And planting out dwarf sunflowers And thinning mixed container of stocks and night scented sticks And TLC for some house plants
Post work, post bus, post curry, wind down Telefantasy inspired doodle
Knew Gallows Corner was waiting for me today and well its a thing of beauty
Ongoing adventures in QGis. Made a spreadsheet of 169 locations in UK that might show up in a thriller. Geocoded each one. Loaded into QGis. Took the output as a PDF into Affinity 3. Split the text and pictorial elements. Ran some post processing on pictorial then reassembled.
Continuing experimenting with Qgis and now I've got it pulling markers from a CSV file Just a quick proof of concept I did a couple of hours ago before going down a rabbit hole of UK locations that might be of interest in a 1960s spy game mostly pulled from declassified target lists
After previous bad experience of QGis installer dumping a metric ton of mess all over a computer pleasantly surprised how quickly version 4 was to install. Followed a tutorial and then threw the output into my usual post processing workflow got this which I like the look of. (No AI)
Opened my compost bin and found these fun guys have been having a party during the heat wave
UK Games Expo haul 2026 edition. A bit light on the small press RPGs this year
My plan for the day was to quickly produce some placeholder art for Telefantasy RPG But I got sucked in to making just one picture: Musician Interrupted
No I didn't just spend a couple of hours doodling a space ship play sheet for a game that doesn't exist to distract from going to dentist tomorrow
Character map shows how characters are connected. Sometimes I'll put more detail about the relationships on here.
Step 5: Maps Now we start to sketch out some maps. These aren’t beautiful, finished products they’re diagrams of how things relate. First sketching how the locations connect All made in Affinity 3
