Adventure Gothic. A pen-and-paper RPG by Benton. Currently posting: Bits from the game. Lore oddments.
Incunabuli has undergone nearly 7 years of iterative #gamedesign and playtesting. Back in 2021, there were THREE PAGES of wound charts, including such trepidation-inducing afflictions as "unsealed neck."
For years, this map has featured two (2) Cheddars in error. Both are in this screengrab. After 6 years, version two cometh; the era of the Two Cheddars comes to an end. incunabuli.com/map/
Damage distribution and probabilities by damage die in the Incunabuli system. Average military melee weapons: d4+3. Modern pistols: 1d6+1 Modern longarms: 1d8+1 incunabuli.com/rulebook/arms
Rework of a longtime sort: the Killed-in-action. (formerly Revenant Soldier) incunabuli.com/rulebook/sor...
In a fit of madness, I cobbled a spreadsheet that tabulates Incunabuli time segments (peril, danger, and peacetime.) In the words of Gary G: "You can not have a meaningful campaign if strict time records are not kept"
Finally learned how to build nice fill-able forms in #inDesign. The Incunabuli character sheet is looking pleasant (with Caveat embedded for a handwritten look.)
A sudden urge to insert drop-caps into existing works occurred today. O, the joys of #CSS
A rule we're trying. "Fun" is allowing the Intellectuals to metagame a little. #osr #ttrpg #gamedesign
My work in progress statblock. Hours of fiddling with the CSS. A necessary task before elaborating a bestiary. Test specimens here: incunabuli.com/resources/me...
from the moment I understood the weakness of the hitpoint, it disgusted me. I craved the physicality and officiousness of the rubber stamp wound stickynote:
Talk about side-splitting. How unpleasant. From incunabuli.com/resources/diseases
