Baltimore born, NYC my true home since 1986. Greece is my Earthly paradise. Lover of Rock, World & Old Timey music, silent movies, pop culture, teaching ESOL & taking long walks. Still a democratic socialist as the country/world staggers rightward.
Hello Bonners! We're Fang & Phobia, a brother & sister pair who live in NYC! We moved into an apt with a back yard last September. Phobia FINALLY got brave enough to join her brother in the yard adventures yesterday! We have a screen door that we can go through.
Here's Fang & Phobia's 1st photo session. With mom Tortellini & sister Winky. Back before they even had names.
Fang & Phobia, who think you may be a distant cousin, hope you can stop worrying & think positive thoughts. We hope everything gets better soon. 😻
I have always loved turkey. That's why I'm not touching the turkey in my bowl. Past turkey eating performance is no guarantee of future turkey eating results.
Every office needs an energetic intern. Looks like you got one. My 2 barely move for hours!
We remember. I also still have my grandma's Westinghouse floor fan which kept the entire ground floor of our house in Brooklyn cool. We live in an apt now with a new hvac unit that is a pain in the butt.
Nature has infinite possibilities. I live in NYC. Just moved to an apt with a little back patio. Woke up to mystery hand prints on the fence. A raccoon I think. When I had a house in a different neighborhood with a big back yard we saw raccoons all of the time.
Looks like our late great Marko, the cat who truly loved us. Shown wearing his "thunder vest", the only thing that could calm his wild, hyperactivity. He would ricochet off the wall twice going down the stairs.
Here's their baby picture. Mama cat & all 3 kittens are now beloved pets. Also a picture of the white whisker (now long gone) that gave Fang his name.
We visited Berlin in the summer of 2016. As NYers we just HAD to visit the CBGB's Museum. It didn't disappoint!
Thank you! I had a great time cleaning up my little apartment patio of all the winter debris. And hoping that the big pot of feral coleus plants had an adequate root system to survive the frigid winter. Here it is last summer at our old house.
Fang magically reappears at the sound of a treat package being opened or a metal food dish being filled. He is food obsessed. That's why he looks like a fur seal!
I just put Fang's favorite blankie in the dryer to clean the cat hair off of it. He went downstairs to sulk.
Yesterday I had carrots, celery, beans & such so I decided to make soup. When it was time to add a starch I tossed in some rigatoni I had. OMG after 20 minutes the rigatoni had absorbed all the broth & were gargantuan! I had to add another 2 cups of broth to turn it back into soup. Look at it! 😂😂😂
I discovered this "Church Trash" can outside of a church on Sunday. A great way to deliver the message.
OMG! Snowpocalypse! I live in NYC and it is weird for me not to leave the apartment for days on end. I was going stir crazy! When the wind chill was 0° I was wearing 2 sweaters in my living room. The hvac units couldn't keep out the cold! I was glad to have these auxiliary heaters!
Nepo baby trump, who couldn't pour piss out of a boot without help is calling an Olympic athlete a loser! Keep digging that hole Don. We will be throwing dirt on top of you real soon!
