Everyone is all "oh I loved Jurassic Park" when Event Horizon is sitting right there.
Top three vital texts of modern roleplay! @grahamwalmsley.bsky.social 's Play Unsafe 2e was waiting for me when I got back from traveling. I wasn't expecting such a slender volume! Wildly overproduced, undeniably gorgeous Legends in the Mist for scale (also arrived).
Without stating your age post your favorite film released the year you turned 18.
Funny thing popped into my mind just now from our Tuesday Root game. Put this in the "is/isn't a conversation" hopper for future consideration:
Thinking about Inheritance, which I sold to a friend a year ago. Hope it's in a good home, gets lots of walks and outside time, not too many snacks.
Quote post with a gif that has a clue about where you’re from.
I run Gregor Vuga's Sagas of the Icelanders once a year at our online con. It's always a hot ticket! It's such a beautiful, flawed gem. Few other games even come close to nailing their editorial stance so confidently. Anyway I just ran it again for the umpteenth time. Still great, 13 years later.
Captain Churro's mail order bug dealer sends cute stickers. The gravity of D&D really is inescapable.
I think my disapproving dragon will be the perfect shot for my EOY wrap-up at the Club. He's got all the time in the world to read! Why am I so far behind?
Post your favorite LOTR character, wrong answers only
What perfect album came out the year you turned 16? Hell of a year to have to choose!
Anyone else have to contend with unhelpful prep buddies? This is Malone. She couldn't care less that this is my one unscheduled night. 🙄
Deciding how much I hate the assumptive sell quality of text like this. This is text from Free League's Coriolis: the Great Dark. And oh yes I do know what I'm getting into when I hitch my wagon to Free League's star! But also I far prefer running with my own material than anything published.
Big elaborate deep dives are unsustainable so I'm moving to a new review format. First on the chopping block is Free League's Coriolis: The Great Dark.
If you see this, quote with an image from a game that released the year you were born.
Every time someone actually thinks they're in a gaming community.
