I just want to relax and stop doom scrolling.
I'm starting Alan Wake II and so far im digging it. Just finished the first chapter and I'm listening to the music during the interlude. I hope this energy keeps up because this is really fun. And no, I never finished the first one. I dont remember why. I just didnt.
players. PvP players. The last thing I heard from my final teammates was one of them angrily shouting: "I JUST WANT TO DO MY MISSIONS!" Then the game turned off our communications. Not for me, but maybe for other people.
I uninstalled after that. I'm glad I gave it a try because the story seemed interesting. But I can save $40 and read summaries of the lore if I want to. The art was very cool. Its a pretty game and atypical of what is on the market. But it isn't for me. Extraction shooters have too many sweaty
I'm nothing if not stubborn so I load in for a last try. I join with two people working on initial quest that helps them unlock new factions to work for. *BLAM* dead. Total match time? 135 seconds. Each death is complete loss of everything in my inventory.
So I sit in the menus and poke around at the gear, cosmetics, aome of the lore. Go back in about 15 minutes later. New players, new area! Cool! Some kind of sewer system! We get out of the sewer *BLAM* all three dead by other players. Total match time? 45 seconds.
They were good for a laugh and we were having fun. Another three person squad found us and SMOKED us. No chance. So we part ways and go back to the menu. I load another match and get the same two players. We spawn about 100m from where we died. We die again. Quickly. Same opposing team even.
That means i lost wvery piece of gear or equipment i earned in the tutorial level. But no big deal! You get "sponsor packs" that give you an okay set of gear to keep going. I never even saw another exfil zone for the next four 'runs'. My crew was filled with a couple players I didnt know,
The tutorial 'run' was fun and gives you plenty of good gear to take into the game proper. Extra shields, extra skills, ammo, and heals. Works out great, honestly. My very first main line run, five CPU opponents spawned on top of me and killed me just after I turned around to face them. Not awesome.
I played some of the Marathon Server Slam this weekend. Marathon is a first person shooter where you have to scavenge supplies on every 'runs you go on. If you Exfil with the supplies you keep them. If you die you lose everything in your inventory. Everything. It is being created by Bungie who
hallucinations, and small spaces. It was a really fun journey from start to stop. I honestly hope he keeps making movies because there is loads of promise in how this was done. Give it a shot if you like scary movies. Its a fun trip!
To use the camera he has to stop the sub, stand up, walk about ten feet to the back, press a button, and wait for the picture to appear in front of him before it fades away. The story is Markiplier searching the ocean floor trying to find anything to help humans. There are scary sounds, visuals,
They're not specific about what his crime is until the movie gets towards the end. What we know right away is that his goal is to find some kind of technology or food or something that will allow humans to continue to survive. There is an Xray camera attached to the sub so he can see forward, only.
"There aren't enough people to keep our species going but there are too many mouths to feed." A line from the movie that sums it up just perfectly. So Markiplier plays the role of a convict that is sealed into a submarine which is then dropped into an ocean of blood. Yes. Blood.
Started Total Chaos and accidentally chose to leave. Roll credits! Quickest game completion this year! Lolol
And yet the new "add to taskbar feature" has this admitted issue. I can't think of a single industry that would shrug off possible malware injection just so they could ask a LLM to summarize documents.
I went to see Run in theaters yesterday. Making movies is hard. Real hard. This is the kind of movie that I would love to see on like the SyFy channel. It is campy horror sci-fi fun. I can't even begin to explain how or why it's so silly. Just, please believe me.
Like I said, though, it's gorgeous. The theme of helping Spirits cross the bridge to what's next really tugs at me. I -adored- Spiritfarer. I'll probably try for another couple days and either succeed or move on.
I don't have the time or patience to fight a single enemy for 45 minutes every day. I do enjoy the rush of beating the boss, etc. It just doesn't call to me as an enjoyable experience. Not when my time is already limited AND there's dozens of other games to experience.
Kena: Bridge Of Spirits is a souls like. Which i didn't realize until I was on the third main boss. It's a gorgeous game. Cute. Fun. However, I have an aversion to souls like games. I'm going to try to turn down the difficulty or maybe try to power through. Not sure.
I'm still pretty burned out on Assassin's Creed after Valhalla but with Mirage joining Gamepass I decided to pick it up. It is very much as I remember every game in the series with the exception being the controls are so smooth now. Im taking my time. No hurry.
This is a heck of a quote about using Twitter now. I didn't realize it was so bad.
I've been playing loads of Grounded 2 and i finished the story over the weekend. It is a blast. They've had some QoL improvements to make things easier to build, added rideable insects, and crafted a fun story. I enjoyed the heck out of the first one and this has been a great continuation.
Im terrible at souls like games but i did catch a good photo last night:
One of the characters you meet is Crouton. A stuffy that Hazel recognizes from her childhood. One of my favorite parts because they're adorable and get to travel close to the swamp animals to solve puzzles. They're also a combat skill that helps with some of the more difficult fights.
Over the rest of the game you learn that Hazel has powers that make her a Weaver. Someone that can mend broken bones and hearts. To make your way through the flooded areas you help folklore people and creatures. The stories are heartbreaking.
So, for the story. I won't get into spoiler territory so don't worry! During a major hurricane Hazel and her mama, Lacey, have an argument. Lacey asks Hazel to check on a couple neighbors before they evacuate and she does. While gone the storm washes away their home and you begin a chase!
