Mina the Hollower is now complete! Aaaand…yeah, feeling pretty “hollow” after this ending. Regardless, interesting melding of Link’s Awakening, a sprinkle of Castlevania, and a bit too much Souls-like.
That’s the end of Yakuza Kiwami 1! The whole time I was playing, I kept thinking, “man, I really miss the jRPG mechanics of 7 & 8!” Still, the story was fun and interesting. The combat was fun, although a lot of the bosses were straight up BS.
And that marks the end of Resident Evil 9: Requiem. Absolutely fantastic game, albeit a bit too heavy with the “memberries”. Nice blend of action and survival horror elements to be sure!
What an absolutely stellar game 8-Bit Adventures 2 was! My second 10/10 game I played this year. @CriticalGamesAU knocked this one out the damn park. The story and character development just kept getting better and better. And they nailed the landing! So very happy with this!
And that marks the end of RE4 Remake. What a f***ing masterpiece. What a game, I am SO glad I finally got into this series, just so I can experience this game.
And that’s a wrap on Ball X Pit! Surprisingly addictive gameplay, with the building of the town aspect surprisingly compelling. That’s especially impressive for me, as that kind of thing is something I don’t usually like.
Everybody is (rightfully) excited about today’s NintendoDirect. Don’t sleep on the Star Fox 64 remake having its demo release! It plays so damn smooth; I felt like my 14 year old self breakin’ world records again…!
Not counting the upcoming NintendoDIRECT, of what was shown in the last three shows, I’m most excited for: 🧛Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse 👓Persona 4 Revival 🧟♀️Resident Evil Veronica 🧪Persona 6 😇Halo: Campaign Evolved
That marks the true ending with Leon’s 2nd Run completed! Man, what an incredible game Resident Evil 2 Remake is. So glad I finally got to enjoy this one!
I’m about two hours or so into 8-Bit Adventures 2, and holy CRAP this game is GOOD. It feels like an old school NES Final Fantasy game, but with instructions, tutorials, and explanations all throughout. I love the character designs too!
And that’s a wrap on Resident Evil 2 Remake: Claire’s run through. I’ll be doing Leon’s B run through next. Game is just too good NOT to see his side of the story!
Now playing for the first time: Resident Evil 2 (Remake) And after beating RE3 Remake, I think I understand why people were pissed at that title versus RE2R. This is just absolute peak horror gaming. I cannot believe how excellent everything is.
Happy 40th Dragon Quest Anniversary! Excited to see what SquareEnix will reveal during their short livestream on what is coming next for the series. Hoping for a new mainline title!
That’s a wrap on Resident Evil 3 Remake, the FIRST game in the series I’d ever beaten! I’ll have to check out the OG at some point, but holy hell this was good. And Jill is gorgeous!
Now playing for the first time: Resident Evil 3 Remake. I’m three hours in and I think this’ll be the 1ST RE game that I’ll have beaten. I’m hoping with this being a shorter game, it’ll motivate me to try RE2 and RE4 again, then finally to RE7 thru 9.
I've now beaten 25 games so far in 2026. How is this year faring? Shown here are the four best games that I've played through. And this is pretty crazy since Trails 2nd Chapter Remake comes out later this year, along with the new Fire Emblem, Star Fox 64 remake, and more.
After roughly 25 hours or so, I’ve beaten Quartet! And I really thought it was … you’ll just have to wait for my review on my YouTube channel!
I’ve been both under the weather and preparing for a trip to NYC next week, so my review of Quartet will be a bit delayed. Been enjoying my time with it!
And after 50 hours, Hades II is now complete! Makes a TON of sense why this game is the highest rated game on Metacritic for 2025. Probably my game of the year, at least until September…!
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Hades II. But I’ve been playing for 45 hours, successfully gone through both types of runs available, and STILL haven’t rolled credits. But it looks like I’m getting close! I think.
Sooooo excited to be able to begin the review process for the Indie gem Quartet! While this review will be for an upcoming release on the Switch, you can also pick this up currently on Steam!
This was a slow burn (pun…intended?), but I finally beat Doom the Dark Ages! Good game overall, although the story itself was mild nonsense. And that’s okay, since I don’t play Doom games for the story. Probably the weakest of the last three, but still a solid 8/10.
After getting back into Balatro a couple weeks ago, I *finally* beat the Gold Stake difficulty level this morning. What a pain this was, but glad it happened!
Happy Meme Monday! Found this online and made me think about some game collectors who've embraced game key cards 🤫#gkc
Got the Super Mario Galaxy amiibo from VGP today! And DAMN they are huge! Not sure where the heck imona put them yet lol
And that’s the end to Dispatch! Felt like a Saturday morning cartoon for adults. Really enjoyed the story, though I was piss-poor at the actual dispatching aspect lol I hope it gets an actual physical release!
The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is now FULLY complete. What a great spinoff for the Trails series! It was fun to finish out my overall gameplay with some additional levels. If you like Ys gameplay with more platforming, I recommend this!
The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails is now beat! I can see possibly now this fits in with the overall Trails series, ESPECIALLY after finishing Beyond the Horizon this year. Overall decent gameplay and fun to play, too!
Now playing for the first time: Spyro 1. And JESUS F***ING CHRIST WTF IS THIS S***?! Took me forever on how to get to this island! I’m experiencing first hand the pain kids had on the PS1.
Just rolled credits on Visions of Mana, or what I’ll affectionately call Trials of Mana 2. Do NOT sleep on this game. Very bright, colorful, and lighthearted adventure with a couple dark parts. A solid 8/10 game - not perfect, but not enough to dissolve its studio upon release.
