Thanks for your patience, Conlin. I can see you want all Al and agentic storefront features turned off for your store especially since these were enabled automatically without a clear way to opt out. That's a completely reasonable ask, and l'll help you get this sorted out right now!

While I dive into into the steps, can I ask did something specific happen that prompted this? For example, did you notice your products appearing somewhere unexpected, or was it more that you discovered the feature was enabled without your knowledge?

Conlin:
Just discovered that the feature was enabled recently without my permission and we're extremely against the use of LLMs for things like this. Adding our products, which are explicitly human made and anti-LLM to an agentic sales channel (which will feed our work to train the agents, no doubt) is extremely shady and unwanted.

Support person:
That makes complete sense, Conlin, and appreciate you explaining the context. Being auto-enrolled without explicit consent is a legitimate concern, especially when your work is intentionally human-made.

Let's get this turned off. Here's what to do (supplies general steps I had already recieved)

Conlin:
l've already done that work, but I want to turn off the agentic storefront completely, the same way I can with any other Sales Channel. I don't want this on in my store at all.

Support person:
I completely understand why you'd expect that it should work like any other sales channel. Unfortunately, Agentic storefronts can't be uninstalled the way other sales channels can. There's no full removal option.

The steps you've already taken turning off Catalog access for every channel and disabling auto-enroll are the maximum opt-out available right now. That stops Shopify from actively sharing your product data with those Al channels going forward.

Support person:
The one remaining gap is Shop, which is always active as an agentic storefront with no way to disable it entirely. The only workaround is setting products to Unlisted, but as mentioned, that also removes them from Google and your own store's search so it's a significant trade- off.

I know that's not the answer you were hoping for. If you'd like, I can flag this as feedback to the product team on your behalf merchants wanting a full opt-out is important signal.

Conlin:
Yeah, that's completely unacceptable. Every other sales channel can be turned off, so this one not being able to be deactivated is a major failing on the part of the product team. Please relay the feedback and, if possible, add a note to my account to make sure that when they allow removing the agentic channel, I can be updated on it. This is a major failing from Shopify's product team and, like I said, completely unacceptable for a business to do. I don't want my hard work training anyone's models

You're right, and I hear you. If every other sales channel can be turned off, this one should be no different that's a fair expectation and it's not being met right now.

I'll make sure your feedback is logged and passed along to the product team. I'll also add a note to your account so that if a full opt-out becomes available, you can be followed up with directly. I sorry this isn't resolved the way it should be. Your concern is completely valid, and I want you to know it won't just disappear into a void this kind of feedback genuinely matters.

An excerpt from "Dreamer Identity" section of The Beckoning Dream to mark this day of Transgender Visibility. You are seen. You are loved. We hope that one day our shared dream can become a reality.

1 - I once dreamt I was a man. It was as shocking as it was liberating, and one of the rare times I remembered my dream upon waking. I had still used the same name and still felt the same as I was. The only reason I knew I’d been a man was seeing my reflection in a mirror: short hair; bright gold buttons sewn on a dashing coat; and then, with vision prompting my other senses to be curious, the slight pinch of suspenders over each shoulder.
I did not fixate on it in my waking hours, although I did revisit that dream on occasion. It was always a pleasant subversion of myself. Lucidity never spoiled the illusion, and each time I was able to enjoy those differences as if they were my every-day.
I share this so that you might consider what fantasies of expression and being you would entertain if given the chance. This is not an invitation to impersonate or lampoon, but to embrace. To learn. To feel. Games and stories end, but the feelings & lessons they impart are forever.

Progress bar chart for Mörk Sol development. Weapon Manifest, Other Vehicles, Skip Jobs, Origins, Services, Chemical Fixes, Null's Influence, Tailing Layby, and Sol Sector have all had progress in their text. A new section has been added called "Survival", which is 2/3 done in text. One section - Hazards - is now called Environmental Dangers and has 1/3 progrss marked. There has also been progress in Equipment and On Foot Dangers for Art & Layout.
