Made another "Waterbug" shuttle model. This one is attached to its vertical mount with strong neodymium magnets at the base of each leg. #OriginalDesign #Spaceship #Model #3DPrint

Photo of a spaceship model/diorama. The spaceship is approximately 15 inches long by 12 inches wide (at its widest point). The ship is mounted vertically onto a 17 inch wide by 24 inch ZFS foam base. The base has been carved, textured with sand and is painted with various shades of gray (and some brown) to look like the ship has landed on an asteroid or some sort of space rock. The ship loosely resembles an insect. It has four legs sticking out of it. The legs are stout, strong looking and have 6-sided pads at their base. The back legs stick out more than the front legs. The legs are painted black and the ship is resting on the space rock surface with these "legs". The ship body is half gray and half olive green and these two colors are separated by two white diagonal lines (roughly positioned in the middle of the ship body) these lines converge from each side to make an arrow-like shape that is pointing upwards. There is a small cockpit section with large windows that loosely resembles the head of a bug projecting from the main body. The ship is sitting so that it is facing directly upwards toward the ceiling. Above and below the small cockpit are very bright cool white lights pointing in front of the ship. At the rear of the ship is a ramp for passengers to ingress/egress and there are lights shining down onto the ramp and asteroid surface. Below the white diagonal lines are four interconnected cylinders which are half in and half out of the body of the ship. These are the ship's removeable fuel cells. The bottom right rear corner has the number "15" painted on it. There is a small hex radar dish left of the ship number and two long antennas protruding at a 45 degree angle from each rear corner that loosely resemble insect anatomy. A placard in the bottom left corner of the base says: AVA U4X-S - AVA/UkrSpace General Purpose Shuttlecraft - Referred to as "The Waterbug", this small utility craft was used primarily in support of space mining operations by the SSAU.

Side view (slight perspective angle) of a model rocket with red, white, baby blue, gray and black colors in alternating patterns. The rear section is mostly gray with two of the fin blisters being red and the other two being gray with baby blue fins. The middle section is mostly baby blue color with 1/8th inch white stripes running lengthwise, spaced about an inch apart (only four stripes can be seen in the photo). The front section is mostly white with some small baby blue and black accents. Attached forward of the front section is the cockpit which is all black and has four front windows which are illuminated from within using blue LED backlighting. One each side of the cockpit are two small white panels with decals that say "81". There are two very long telescopic antennas protruding forward of the cockpit. Not your standard antennas, these are flat, rectangular and angled toward each other (more like paddles almost). They start out black in color but then change to all white after about 1.5 inches. The ship is mounted on a gray 3D printed platform that says "Number 81 - For Aunt Sandy - By CTD 7.8.26". At the rear of the ship are four speed brake looking devices jutting out, each with two white stripes across it. The model is based off of the NASA Saturn V rocket model kit, so it has a round body with small ridge lines running lengthwise and four large thruster nozzles at the rear. Each of the four thrusters is illuminated with UV LED's. The ship's total length is 13 inches and just the front antennas themselves are 4 and a half inches long. At it's widest point (the rear of the ship where the speed brakes stick out), it's diameter is almost 6 inches across. The main body diameter is smaller, at about 2 and 3/8 inches. It is suspended in the air from the mounting base (the back of the ship sits about 2 inches in the air and the front is about 8 inches in the air, so it's resting at an upward angle of about 30 degrees. Update on the "Waterbug" shuttle... Made a slight mod to the livery & beat it up - I think I can live with it now. Also made a base for it to sit on that uses magnetic sockets to pass power & allows it to rotate for viewing at different angles. #Spaceship #Shuttle #Original #Design #3DPrint
