I’m still out of action after my log accident. I’m not being silly, I was very concussed yesterday. Ollie and Seren got me up at 5. They went out, did what they needed to do quickly and came back in. They know I’m injured and they want to look after me.
I have been attacked. 😓 By a log I was chopping. 🪵🪓 Flew up and smashed me right on the schnoz. 😭
It’s a dark, grey morning, but the sun will break through soon and another hot day is in the works. ☀️😎🍷 Ollie and Seren got me up at 6. They know this is the coolest part of the day. We’re loving this spot. Teletubbies it’s called. I’m happy to stay until CRT send the snotty ‘keep cruising’ email.
I’m back in my old town to meet some ladies and in a pub for the first time this year.
Another furnace of a day begins. ☕️ Was out at 5 with the dogs, getting them exercised before it gets simply too hot to let them out. Today I will be mostly editing. ✍🏻🤓 This weekend I will buy some paper and coloured pencils and attempt to draw a cover. Years ago I was good at drawing. Now? Dunno.
From today, everyone who calls themselves a Labour Party member deserves to be thoroughly shamed and ostracised. Today, trans people become SIGNIFICANTLY less than human in the eyes of UK law, thanks to their disgusting, radicalised bigotry. They are a far right Nazi party. EVERY member is scum.
The heat has caused a big ‘churn’ in the canal water. It’s like a soup of rotting vegetation. My engine doesn’t like going through it, so I’m here for the foreseeable. Today is going to be super hot. I will not be doing much.
Yours will be along sooner than you think if you don't throw out Labour's disgusting trans apartheid and give us our human rights back.
Got up at 03:40 ☕️🥱 to embark on another voyage. ⛵️ Decided I require another day’s rest here. ☀️🍷 Ollie and Seren are doing well in the heat now we have a good air cooling unit on the boat. It’s taken a lot of worry away, especially about Seren who is old and therefore more susceptible to heatstroke.
Another week of savage heat begins. ☀️🥵🔥 My new air conditioning, which seems good so far, will be sternly tested. I may go in a certain pub later. 🍷 A place where newly out Isobel used to go, discovering a new confidence at 43 and 44, before COVID put a stop to social activity for an unknown time.
I’ve been powering down the country ⛵️ and am sort of ‘home’. This is where newly out Isobel hit the streets 💃🏻 in 2019, and where I spent COVID lockdown in 2020. It’s weird being back here. Not sure why I did it. Looking forward to going all the way back later this week.
Collie games. I don’t understand the rules of this one, but they have it all worked out.
Ollie and Seren believe I have a magical, never ending supply of chicken strips in my pocket.
Started the day before 5am with a lock flight. By 10 we were well ahead of schedule and moored at the village where my air conditioning unit will arrive on Thursday. I didn’t expect to get here until tomorrow or Wednesday. This means I get extra unplanned rest, and have got the fruit ciders in! 🍷🥳🙌🏼
It's nice not to wake up in a hurry. ☕ Today is all about resting, before we set off again tomorrow. ⛵ I've ordered another air conditioning unit. It arrives Thursday in a village to the south that I expect to be within range of after tomorrow's tough voyage which will include a big lock flight. 💪🏻
I recommend starting the weekend by breaking down in the middle of a 2 mile canal tunnel. 😅👩🏻🔧 Got it going. By luck rather than judgment. This journey is well underway now. ⛵🌍🧭
Another scorching day begins. ☀️🔥🥵 I was boating early again and have found what I hope will be a cool place to moor. My air conditioning unit will not arrive today 😤 so I cancelled it. They wanted to change it to Monday, but I have no idea where I’ll be then.
Another stupidly hot day begins. My air conditioning unit arrives tomorrow 🤞🏻 and I think it’s going to be a lifesaver over this summer. Planning a journey back south. ⛵️ I miss old friends and familiar places. This weekend I’ll work on my engine. It hasn’t been very happy lately. That must change. 👩🏻🔧
Got woken up by very heavy rain early this morning. That means it’ll be very humid now the temperature is climbing into the mid 30s. 🥵 Tomorrow and the next day, we could hit 40. This is not normal and it isn’t good.
Another very hot day begins, but not as hot as the next 3 days, when the temperature is going to be downright dangerous. 🔥 Yes, of course it’s human made climate change. Temperatures in Europe are like 45. This isn’t normal at all.
Today is the Summer Solstice. ☀️🥳🍷✌🏻 Midsummer is exactly 9:24am. The temperatures are set to climb into the 30s and stay there all week. Hopefully the dogs and I will be okay in the shade under these trees.
Boating at 4:30 this morning. ⛵️ This is a specific shady spot I wanted for the dangerous heat ☀️🥵 expected this week. Thankfully I found it unoccupied 🥳 and was moored on it by 6am. ☕️🙌🏼
Ollie and Seren got me up at 4:45. They know it’s going to be a hot day and wanted to get out early. A brutal week of heat lies ahead.
Ollie’s friends the Swan Family have come to say hello to him! 💜🤗 Seren wouldn’t stand for this. They waited for her to go away. 😄
Set off at 4:45am, stopped at the boat services to water up and get rid of some bags of rubbish, boated onwards and was safely moored up at yet another favourite spot by 6am. ⛵️🙌🏼
Up at 4. 🥱☕️ Boating at 5. ⛵️ By 7 we were safely moored up at another favourite spot! 🤗
Unless there wasn't a problem to begin with, and you've just blown up a completely unnecessary shitstorm for no reason other than you're an idiotic fucking arse hole.
On the move again early this morning. Need to be at a certain village by Wednesday for a GP appointment. We got halfway there and the heavens opened 😫🌧️ so I was forced to moor up at one of Ollie and Seren’s favourite spots.
