I recently read through The Worlds of Yoko Taro, a compilation of interviews about his game development and writing. Something that was fascinating is how often he says "I don't approach my games to express myself or send a message, I just like making a spectacle, doing something unique."

Erio and the Electric Doll is a story of an android and an electric girl, touring a steampunk world recovering from war. It feels a bit like Kino's Journey or King of Bandits Jing, with the girls learning more of the new world and its people. Also, the art is absolutely lavish.
Love Thy Neighbor is a dramatic yuri manhwa about a college student who rescues her middle-aged neighbor from loan sharks. toxic, horny, gorgeous. it's maximum soap-opera melodrama, full of plot twists, crime, and a ridiculous amount of beautifully drawn high-tension sex.
Have A Great Trip After the Credits Roll is a story of two women after they defeat the demon king, exploring and living out their bucket list together. There's two things that stand out about this series: 1. it takes place in fantasy Finland 2. made me cry a whole bunch

me: i drew the damn arrow traps, i'm not going to run into them arrow traps, watching as i panic sprint through a room full of wizards:
started with a tiny figure and then scaled it up to use as a guide, kinda funny but it worked! this one came together quickly ~ i wanted to draw a full body pic, and for fun i drew some big swoops and that became the guiding shape for the hair & bg. took maybe 4 hours..? i love backs & shoulders
tried a different approach this type, quicker & sketchier. most of the shapes & lines were drawn with the contour tool, and i only used a brush for smaller details & cleanup... it came out pretty messy, but it was fun. i like what i did with the hair details tower dungeon is really cool, go read it
