The Ardgroom Stone Circle consists of 11 stones, 9 of which are still standing. The site was constructed during the Bronze Age, around 3000 years ago. It was used as a ritual and ceremonial site. The views from the site are mountains, small green hills, crags, the sea and running streams.

Torc waterfall is 20 metres (66ft) high and is located in the Killarney National Park. It is fed by the Owengarriff river and it a popular stop on the Ring of Kerry.

The Baltimore Beacon stands 50 ft (15 m) high about the entrance to Baltimore harbour. It was built in 1848 and is a popular place for people to propose marriage.

The wooden lighthouse at Burnham on Sea was built in 1832 and is still in operation. It stands on flat sands in the the Bristol Channel which has a very large tidal range. At high tide the bottom part of its legs are underwater and at high time it is far from the sea.

Budakirkja was originally built in 1848 and it still used today by the local community. It was reconstructed in 1987 to preserve its original design. It has seating for 50 people, has no heating but does have an organ and two bells in the tower. Part of the beauty of the church is the way it sits in the local landscape.

The jokulsarlon glacial lagoon has been created as the Breidamerkurjokull glacier retreats. The lagoon is filled with icebergs that have broken off the glacier. This image was made after sunset in early March which created a blue glow.
