I've been trying to digest this since I got the email, I a definitely didn't re-read it like ten times to make sure I understood it but: The Wolf with No Tail has been selected as a nominee for The National Cartoonists Society's Divisional Awards for comics?!

I always reccomend sketching in something you can't erase, otherwise folks tend to obsess over finding the perfect mark and never end up finishing anything. It's a sketchbook, be messy! #sketch #sketchbook

Today I drew some gross monster frogs!

A page of drawings depicting three ranks of monster frogs. The frogs are linework above, and rendered with marker colors below in tones of yellow, orange, red and green. Rank 1 is a fairly normal frog with an extra big mouth. Rank two is much larger and seems to be growing polyps of more frogs on its back. Rank three is larger still, and looks like three monstrously fused frog heads with more polyps and eyeballs. It's shooting out one of its tongues.

We're drawing sunflowers with the students this week, and I *may* have just banged out a quick 8-page mini so I can share some of my seeds with my students! I'm thinking I'll bring some of these to @comicartsmaineport.bsky.social too!
