I have been on a one-woman rampage over fiancé vs fiancée, spurred by straight men getting my hopes up that they’re getting gay married, saying things like, “my lovely fiancé.” WELL as of yesterday *I* have a lovely fiancée! Now that I am the one getting gay married I will be twice as insufferable!
Previous entries in the Natalie canon that never made it onto Bluesky.
Natalie’s at it again! With thanks to @aneelin.bsky.social for coordinating her calendar. (And also decades of friendship. 💕)

Best movies I saw in theaters in 2025. Two complete creative visions, two incredible rescreens, & one totally by the books historical drama that nonetheless had Dad and I gabbing at the bar afterwards. Also, I saw all of these in independent cinemas! Delight your eyeballs and your community!
The year in reading, with incredible highlights and many books I barely remember. Next year, I’m setting my goal lower, to challenge myself to really sink in. ✨

This is a belated post about how cool it was to attend @mollyolguin.bsky.social’s book launch in Seattle a few weeks back! She’s got a few dates in the Midwest, East Coast, and LA in the summer months, and a virtual launch coming up next week! Don’t miss out!
My preorder of @mollyolguin.bsky.social’s The Sea Gives Up the Dead arrived (early!) with the flowers. I love this beautiful, dark book. A bright spot, a joy. 🌺 ❤️🔥

Back in January I downloaded that app that externalizes self care by nurturing a little baby bird every time you cross something off a list. Today, I’m proud to announce, my baby bird reached probably the most important milestone it’s possible to reach.
