This pigeon with 2 chicks is nesting on a first floor windowsill behind a large wall plant at the old building where I volunteer. She is completely oblivious to people who have watched them hatch and grow through the double glazing.
On holiday in Norfolk. This barn swallow had worked all week to get her chicks to fledge. Yesterday evening they did. This morning they were perched on the barn roof in a line where she was feeding them. Magical.
Current view. Sitting in a shady spot listening to birds at a beautiful retreat at the foot of the Pyrenees. Walking, swimming, Pilates, wonderful organic food. I’m not allowed to grumble about the intense heat today (39 degrees atm). I might sack off the walk though.
Not today, thank you. I was actually looking for paint but it appears I’m revising for A levels. I wish!
Thank you so much, Shell, for my brilliant ‘Wordle Gang’ mug, having an honorary first outing for the England/Wales match right now! I’m glad to be in this daily silly-story telling crew: @it-se.bsky.social @hbsj.bsky.social @paulineridley.bsky.social @paulrk.bsky.social @ruraldad.bsky.social
Sheffield’s two main theatres shown here. Tonight we saw ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ at the Lyceum. A brilliant interpretation and performances. The run here ends tomorrow but is touring. Go if you can. #sheffieldtheatres #Lyceum #Lyceumtheatre
