Here is a 4 pm view from 16th St., Manhattan up and down sixth Avenue, which appears to be reserved for a street fair, which would normally be chock full of vendors. My best guess is fear of ICE raids kept all the vendors away.
Around Hudson River and West 14 are things like sandy beaches, floating parks, and food courts with rooftop sun deck.
