“Sunny with a Chance of Hurricanes” Watercolor 7” x 10”. Finally finished! #art #watercolor 🎨
I’m still plugging away at this, but feeling a bit more creative and motivated so hopefully it will go a bit faster. #watercolor #wip 🎨
This was my favorite as I recall. I should make it this week!
I had that same skillet and still have this in my stash because some of the recipes are pretty good.
I went for a walk. Please clap. Oh and I got a picture of some honeysuckle. #honeysuckle
I went for a walk today, legit trying to get my strength back as well as gain inspiration for painting. This neighbor’s clematis is going crazy, just like many roses I’ve seen this year. #clematis
Wild Blackberries, watercolor 7” x 10”. Thanks to @brontelee.bsky.social for the beautiful reference photo that this is just a section of. It was going to be a study but it’s a full painting. #watercolor 🎨
This is Easy Chickpea Salad from NYT Cooking with the addition of feta cheese. I could eat stuff like this every day. I was able to use fresh dill and parsley from the little garden we planted this year. #nytcooking
I had a nice walk yesterday and got to talk to the owner of these peonies. He didn’t know what kind of flowers they were so when I stopped to take pictures of them he came out to ask me. He said he’d lived there for a couple years and they had never come up before. #peonies
I finally kicked my butt downstairs to paint some more on this painting started *cough cough* a while ago. 🎨 #watercolor
I made this perfect Lemon Yogurt Cheesecake from NYT Cooking on Saturday and managed to keep from eating it until after our dinner today. It’s quite perfect, not overly sweet or sour. #bakesky #cheesecake #baking #nytcooking
I finally made this for dinner after having the ingredients on hand for a while, and I’m glad I finally did. It’s One-Pot Tortellini with Prosciutto and Peas from #NYTC
I love building the layers and creating the depth that is such a part of my style. Still working on this. #wip #watercolor
It’s my birthday this week and we are celebrating today. So I baked myself a cake. Recipe is Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cake from King Arthur Baking. #baking
This is coming along. At this point, every day I have to split my attention between my new ACNH island and this painting. 🎨 #watercolor
I got some washes down. I managed to sit there a while without my brain telling me to run. And then I had to start dinner. But it’s a start. 🎨
Took a bit of an Easter walk to the mailbox on the corner despite being as cold AF. Just a few snaps of spring showing up round here.
I should be in my studio but instead I’m enjoying the fresh air rushing into my house through the open windows and watching the Tigers play, something that’s pretty rare these days.
After spending a week suffering from the first cold I’ve had in years, I am in the studio sketching and watching Pride and Prejudice on my new Mac Neo. 🎨
This is the laptop I use to look at photos while I do art and stream. I hadn’t used it in a while. It’s always been slow. I decided to uninstall the Lenovo bloatware and do some updates and now it’s busted. I already tried this once and it didn’t work. I haven’t lost any data tho.
So excited to finally get these. We love beans here (well, most of us LOL). Can’t wait to make something out of this book. #beans
Happy Valentine’s Day. I made some Cherry Kiss cookies to celebrate. They are similar to peanut butter blossoms but flavored with maraschino cherries instead of peanut butter. #baking #bakesky #valentinesday
I loved this book then and read all of the books in this series except for the last one, still unread in my Nook library. It had a profound effect on my life and sent me in a particular direction. I do not regret it, but I hesitate to reread it. No going back, only forward.
