In case anyone else is feeling hopeless and wondering what they can do, I offer this suggestion.
At Carter's funeral, according to The Hill: "Trump was leaning into Obama and Obama was laughing at certain points." It sort of affects your credibility when you call someone a fascist threat to democracy until they win power, and then you act like old friends.
