Lots of people at the vigil for the people injured and killed by homophobes at CSD last night.
Eine unterdiskutierte Stärke von Bundle Passes: Weniger Risiko, um neuen Journalismus zu entdecken. Sie laufen automatisch ab, was Verkäufe Experimenten signifikant ankurbeln kann.
I know you all care about media literacy, so I say this with love: Everything about this story you're all sharing is a red flag.
One stat I watch when journalists run @trustfnd.com bundles is the full bundle rate. That's the share of people who are new to *all* publications in a bundle. I love the high numbers here. They mean that you're not just sharing audience, you're actually growing it for everybody.
Love logging on to @sill.social to see that my network is tastefully but persistently sharing the Feminist Bundle. Get three months of all access to original reporting and analysis from @theflytrapmedia.com, @autonomynews.co, and @mothership.blog in a tidy bundle. trustfnd.com/collaboratio...
I love this graph from the latest Reuters News Report. It shows the very different jobs Search and AI search for information and social media do for news consumers. Social media is *the better news app*, giving you the information you're interested in and maybe go deeper.
Whew, CBS' Scott Pelley isn't thrilled about the latest changes to 60 minutes. Full story here: www.theguardian.com/media/2026/j...
Swifties will be waiting in front of that institution 15 years from now
Shooting at Graefekiez in Berlin. We were sat on the terrace at a local restaurant when we heard what turned out to be a first set of gunshots. The second set was super close and everyone jumped up and ran inside. What we only saw later: one bullet hit the car two meters from our tables.
Back from a day at #republica26 and only thinking: If we invested all that money that we invest in consultants into building journalism products.
🙌🏻 Trustfnd has partnered with @surf.social so every bundle you create can get a shared content feed, too. Check out the Local Garbage Fire Feed by @davejorgenson.bsky.social, @kattenbarge.bsky.social, and @ryanhatesthis.bsky.social. surf.social/feed/surf%2F...
Stat #3: 80% That's the share of people who were new to all three publications in the bundle. This means, these journalists didn't just share audience, they found all-new people happy to pay for journalism together. And got paid in the process.
Stat #2: 30% After 30 days, the Bundle Pass expired. All journalists could then offer Bundle Pass holders an upgrade into their individual subscription. And for one of them, @katelynburns.com, 30% got an annual subscription! That's huge (tbf Katelyn is also a master journalism marketer.)
Anyone interested in the stats of the first ever Bundle Pass? Here they are. Along with the most perfect stills from the video Bluesky won't let me upload. I look perfect and sane in each, for your entertainment. Let's start with Stat #1: 1900+
Do fewer things better. Forever truth for publishers. The shift isn't easy, but doable. Well done, Axios!
Phew. I was getting worried that AI ownership was in just too large a number of hands.
It appears they do. I'm not the CPJ, but I have no reason to distrust or dismiss their data. They have been doing crucial work and I believe it's the best data available. So... Unsure what your point is apart from trying to sow doubt about who's responsible for a historic atrocity.
Because both Lex and Lucy know their stuff, the bundle is really smartly put together. It's time limited, creating some urgency, and the earlier you get it after launch the better the deal. Love to see folks experimenting with what @trustfnd.com allows them to do.
OK one more, if I can be sincere for a hot second: It's a weird feeling when you read your hopes, dreams, visions printed on a site that lots of smarter-than-you peers read. Especially in an industry that can be snarky and unforgiving of failure. But that's also the fun of it?
So, @niemanlab.org just covered our little startup and I won't stop talking about it because I'm obviously a huge nieman lab fan. I tried to come across as a sane and highly strategic person. I think I nailed it.
