You've got to love it when AI image creation tools have no idea how big a GLP-1 needle should be, so it makes it the size for a horse dose. 🤣
When #BendingSpoons acquired #Evernote, they accelerated the software development improvement cycle and made it better — it's a superior product today than years ago. But the 171% price increase in a year finally made me jump to #Obsidian; it's just not worth the price they want to charge for it.
I often wonder how brand name medications continue to survive alongside #generics that use exactly the same ingredients in the same amounts. Why would anyone spend 25%+ more? Positive brand association and "it always worked before so I'll buy it again"? Ignorance? 🤔
Music services need to take AI music seriously and offer customers the ability to filter out and block AI slop. There's a lot I like about generative AI, but I want to listen to humans making music, not software. #YouTubeMusic offers no way for me to block AI artists, or even down-vote songs. 🫤
If you're ever feeling a little bit down, just order something from an unknown Chinese brand off of Amazon. It will come with an uplifting inspirational brand tagline. And 58% of the time, it may even make some grammatical sense. What are some of the funniest/best you've seen? #inspiration
It's bizarre to me that most macOS developers still bundle x86 (Intel) versions of their software; they take up a lot of storage space for no good reason. Is this a default for Xcode, to bundle both? Or some kind of outdated best practice? Seems unnecessary to me in 2026. #macdeveloper #macos
I'm still in shock about the @apple price hikes. @daringfireball has a good summary of them here: daringfireball.net/2026/06/spen... The Apple TV price jumps are particularly egregious. #ApplePriceHikes
It's unfortunate that, even with the latest version of macOS, I still see kernel panics and hard crashes every month or so. It's always the same cause: external USB-connected bluray optical drives. I know I'm in the minority in using them, but why can't macOS handle them any more? 🤔 #macOS26
When a society gambles more than it reads — and reading rates drop year by year — you have a society that is getting closer to the future documentary Idiocracy day by day. Yikes. 😬 www.theatlantic.com/magazine/202...
Holy 💩 these are some big price increases! $70 price hike on an Apple TV? $200 on an iPad Pro? I was expecting price increases on their next generation of products not the ones they're selling today. 😯 www.macrumors.com/2026/06/25/a...
Amazon's ordering system is going down so often lately I am getting to know the adorable Dogs of Amazon quite well. Adorable! 🐶 🥰 #AmazonDown
We are all living in the future documentary #Idiocracy. I just... can't...even...grasp this level of stupidity. www.axios.com/2026/06/19/t...
I'm doing my first #LinkedInLive event! And the topic is one I care about a great deal: #swag. If you have a swag budget or influence over swag choices at your organization, join me for this event on June 23rd. www.linkedin.com/events/74709... This presentation is sponsored by Kotis Design.
Amazon's checkout system is down so hard right now I'm refreshing over and over just to see the #DogsofAmazon. I must have seen 20 of them! 🐶
It's funny, but once you start thinking of AI as a tool that can save you time and effort, you start wanting to see things made easier for your AI to help you. Case in point: there are 188 4K movies on this website but there's no way to load them all on the same screen... #AIdataformatting #AIUX
"Tesla found new buyers for its Cybertruck: Kazakh emergency services" You just can't make this stuff up. 😂 #Tesla #Cybertruck #Borat electrek.co/2026/06/02/t...
I'm a big fan of their products, but @ankerofficial.bsky.social has officially gone over the edge with their firehose approach to email. They seem to do zero audience targeting and just blast everyone, all the time, with everything. They emailed me asking about my power boat experience. 😂
I used Claude Cowork for something silly but I was curious to see if it could handle it. Dairy Queen has a customer feedback website, and a unique code is on each receipt. When you submit a survey, you get a code for a free Dilly Bar. 😋 [1/2]
We all know how extreme #tipping culture has become in the USA, but this one made me roll my eyes especially hard: I was buying a product from a company, and the company asks for a tip. I JUST BOUGHT YOUR PRODUCT. THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE SELLING! 🙄 (super cool product though if it's as nice as it seems)
In today's episode of "Who the heck designed this awful UX?", we have the RBC Direct investing site. Their customer service kept insisting there was a certain menu option, but when I clicked and opened the menu, it wasn't there. 🤔 #BadUXdesign
Amazon's new #AutoOrder function is pretty slick — it lets you specify a pricing threshold based on the 90 day high, low, a 10-20% drop, or a specific max price. This directly competes with tools such as Keepa. This will be handy for thrifty folks like me who don't like paying market highs.
In advance of their IPO, #SpaceX is choosing to fleece a portion of their customers: people like me, who are just an entry in a database using zero satellite resources. We will have to pay double ($10 from $5) to simply be customers who have their service for backup purposes. #StarlinkPriceHike
Have you ever watched a show that left you feeling worse off after you watched it? A show with zero redeeming characters that spotlights the worst of humanity? For me, that was HBO's Industry. It was like Succession, only the characters were 10x more awful humans. #HBOindustry
Well, isn't this the longest and most terrifying list of permissions ever for the #Claude Outlook MCP connector! 😂 I declined because I am a bit paranoid about connecting an AI to decades of my email/contacts/calendar info and having it decide that deleting data would be helpful. Backup and hope? 🤔
This is what it looks like when you give up on Amazon #SubscribeAndSave after using it for years. It was a great idea, but it's like Amazon re-tasked the team who built it, and they abandoned it, never improving how it worked. Orders were so tedious to manipulate to get that magic "five items".
There's something I find sad about younger people being so confused and frustrated about their lives (economic and otherwise) that they are resorting to imaginary tools to help "guide" their future. Society shouldn't work this way; we've failed them. 🙁 newsletter.wealthfront.com/vested-inter...
This is what happens when a designer — or an AI — doesn't understand scale. Look at the size of this portable shoe washer compared to the toothbrush holder, then compared to the washing machine. 🤣 #DesignFail
I've now spent 8 cents with Google Cloud on their LLMs...does this make me a cloud developer now? 😂
I now have first-hand knowledge of what gives AI-coding developers nightmares: running out of model credits. 😨 Thankfully I have some AI credits to keep me going... #AIcredits
