I am back on the drums tonight for the first time in a month, as part of the retro groovalistic stylings of Time Machine Appetizer. Two sets of soul jazz and surf rock live at An Beal Bocht in the Bronx from 8 to 10. (And dig this gig poster!)
I'm playing again tonight with Stephanie Marie & the Double-Knit 3. I'm busting out the brushes for a short and chill set opening for Towncryer, 7:30pm at Cowgirl Seahorse down by South Street Seaport.
I'm at An Beal Bocht in the Bronx tonight with Time Machine Appetizer, playing soul jazz and surf rock with gusto. Retro groovalistic instrumentals from 8 to 10pm, with Merritt Jacob (guitar), Dave Archer (keyboards), Dan Asher (bass), and me on drums and cymbals.
Tonight I'm playing in the house band for a night of classic funk and soul songs at Baker Falls. It's part of the long-running F*Bomb series of tribute shows here in NYC. F*Bomb presents SOUL BOMB, tonight at 9pm! I'm also playing the opening set with Stephanie Marie & the Double Knit players at 8.

Tonight I'm playing with Stephanie Marie and the Double Knit players! We'll be at Berlin Under A in the East Village as the first of three women-led groups. I'm always psyched to play Stephanie's "country soul" originals with her ace band. Showtime is 6pm sharp.

I'm in Toronto for a reunion of Smith & 9th Ward, my main band for most of the 2010s. It's our first performance since our singer/pianist Allison Leyton-Brown moved to Toronto in 2020, but the magic is still there. 8:30pm at DROM Taberna. Send your Toronto peeps our way for a funky good time!
