What a shame to hear that singer and actor Glen Hansard was killed in a Dublin motorcycle crash. Once was one of my favorite films ever, and the few times I was able to see him in concert (both solo and with Marketa Irglova as Swell Season) were memorable, wonderful shows. RIP Glen.
@peabobryson.bsky.social was the closest that I ever came to a celebrity friend and one of the greatest singers I've heard. In the 90s I got to hang with him when in town, talked on the phone, worked on a compilation album and discussed writing a book together, which sadly never happened. RIP Peabo.
I'm heartbroken to say that my beloved Jasmine suddenly crossed over the rainbow bridge this morning, just a month before her 17th birthday. She didn't even seem to be sick, so at least I can take solace in the fact that she never suffered.
Saying goodbye - for now - to a Philadelphia tradition, the holiday light show at the Wanamaker Building. They may bring it back in a few years, but for now, this is the last chance to see it.
Sixteen years ago this beautiful girl chose our house to be her forever home. She has made every day of those 16 years much happier. Happy gotcha day, Jasmine. #gotchaday #gotchacat #gotchagirl
It must be nice to be this comfortable in the middle of the day. Jasmine has the life!
Hanging out on the red carpet with Emilia Jones, Fabien Frankel and Tom Pelphrey from the HBO show “Task” at the Philadelphia Film Festival.
Thanks Tricia Helfer @triciahelfer.com of Battlestar Galactica for being a fantastic interview about Primitive War and Hello Beautiful. Story coming soon!
Jazzy wants to wish you a happy International Cat Day, as soon as she finishes her nap.
Jasmine, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen. Happy birthday, sweet sixteen!
I don’t tug on Superman’s cape. I don’t spit into the wind. I don’t pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger but I do go to see AJ Croce playing his dad Jim’s greatest hits.
It is a tragic night, but at least we know that Jimmy Carter fit a whole lot of kindness, goodness, courage and just simple coolness into a very vital 100 years. Thank you for being a wonderful example to all of us on how to live. Now I hope he gets to spend eternity with his beloved Rosalyn again.
Wow, it’s a mind blower that it was fifteen years ago today this beautiful lady chose our house to be her forever home. She was very patient for us, and we’ve tried to make sure she knew she made the right choice. She has made every day of those fifteen years much better. Happy gotcha day, Jasmine!
Jasmine and I are glad to leave behind that cesspool called X and join in with the cool kids here.
