Finally done with this. Some brilliant writing in parts, some long and I would say self indulgent passages designed to simply show off. But it keeps you reading. Overall feel I've been taken for a ride, and not in a good way. Think I probably loathe the author for the extended con. #reading #books

Finally finished this after many months, putting it aside for a while, even returning it to the library and then going back for it again, and I think it is one of the best novels I've ever read. So much insight into so much human nature.Found myself wondering how one mind could conceive of it all.

Do we think Vlad the Impaler was posthumously put out by the judgment of history? I doubt Trump or his family will give a fuck either.
