Tonight’s viewing: Seen a lot of complaints that this is more like an Evil Dead movie than a mummy movie. That being the case, I gotta say: I liked it more than both Evil Dead Rise and Evil Dead Burn.
Stopped by the library before embarking on a 12 mile woods walk. Good thing I didn’t pass out from the heat. Imagine being found unconscious and this is the only identifying material on your person.
A fascinating premise paired with the perfect, complimentary narrative framework.
Tonight’s viewing: An endurance test of a film fittingly named after a Beefheart song. The last 40 minutes make the grueling first half worth sitting through.
