Hubs made dinner on this hot, hot day. Chicken salad & melted havarti cheese on the baguette I got from a bakery in Quebec this morning. I told him, “I’ve died & gone to the south of France.”

I always liked the pots of little roses from the grocery store but when I got them they would inevitably dry up & die. Hubs got me one for Mother’s Day & I replanted it right away & put it in the sun so it could die in peace. But,

Strawberry rhubarb pie. 🍓Because it’s a wonderful day for pie. 🥧

Lattice topped home made strawberry rhubarb pie. Filling is 3 cups strawberries, 2 cups rhubarb, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 flour, 1 tbsp tapioca.
