Manda @talzhemir.bsky.social is playtesting Lost Age, her sequel to our Paleolithic #ttrpg Cavemaster. Here are two ‘character tablets’ from tonight’s game. We’re using a diced variant of the Cavemaster “Habilis system”. I’ve tried to draw pictures in the style of Copper Age sites like Gobekli Tepe.
More art for ya! This was to be the title screen for my (sadly unfinished) tile-based giant monsters MMO.
"Will you follow me into fire? Into storm? Into darkness? Into death?" – Valen to the Nine
This is me, working at Origin Systems. It looks like Ultima VII graphics on my screen, so this would have been around 1991-92. I was the art director on that project.
Due to us being away at PAGE 2 and then me having a nasty cold, my poor puppy hasn’t been to the dog park in a few weeks. Today’s the day, Luna!
Getting close to 900 followers here on Blue Sky. Who else wants to be in my Friend Folio?
Retro gaming time! This is the 'bullet ship' from Worlds of Ultima: Martian Dreams. Origin, 1991. I created its complete tile set. Not sure which of the characters I did, if any. I really enjoyed the opportunity, and the challenge.
My friend & colleague Brian Adams (War Heroes sourcebook for Mighty Protectors) once ran a Gamma World campaign using my V&V3: Mighty Protectors rules. In the grand tradition of V&V, we used counters instead of minis. Upper left is Lado, my plain human martial artist. Good times!
Welcome to all my new Bluesky friends! Look what Jack Herman, co-author of Villains & Vigilantes and my best friend up north, sent me for xmas:
Here's what I'm working on presently, art-wise. The final full-sized image will be posted on my Patreon. www.patreon.com/c/artofjeffdee
Those of you who are only familiar with earlier editions of V&V, will find them all at MHG's online stores. In fact Revised V&V, aka 2nd edition (1982), is available in a new edition 2.1 with all-new art and bonus material. Though I personally recommend 3.0 :) monkeyhousegames.com/shop/
