I’m ok with people being wrong on the internet, but it does sting a bit watching people in their 30s completely misunderstand culture that preceded them. No John Hughes movie is nostalgic. (Bonus: a commenter also fundamentally misunderstands nostalgia.)

I read it way back when and didn’t dig it, but the first issue of Tom King’s and Daniel Sampere’s Wonder Woman hits different now. ICE? The war on trans people? Smug mouthpieces blabbing hypocrisies to an unchallenging press? It’s all in there, two and a half years ago.
Apparently, Robert Kanigher did an issue of Iron Man (back in 1972) and watching Kanigher try and mesh his style to what he perceives the Marvel house style to be is…remarkable.

I haven’t been in San Francisco for non-work reasons in years. But we’re here to go to manga exhibition at the de Young and literally walked right into a jazz funeral being held for an albino alligator. Excellent work, SF!
