Alaska's state bird is the ptarmigan, and I can't see one in my neighborhood, but I can see one if I drive two hours to the south in Denali Park.

Controversial take: Frogs (1972) is the best July 4th animal horror film! Forget about the shark-fighting dude bros and their "bigger boat" fantasies, Frogs features the idle rich getting slaughtered by various swamp creatures (none of them frogs).
