I bought myself these very romantic flowers on this day back in 2019 this is a reminder to buy yourself flowers. 🌸
then planted herself on my shoulder until she recovered & I could examine her. She’s not injured, thankfully. It’s been an exhausting & stressful day. I constructed a jail cage in the enclosure for Frida. I hope today is the last time I need to use it. Also, Old Spice makes a Frida face+body wash.

I have this back portion fenced off for the babies… so they can look but no touch. I think I might have left it up about a week last time but I’m not sure. 🫣 & I took the whole week off next week to get up early & observe them lol it’s terrifying. They’re doing great during group free range, though!

We have a cat who is missing a back leg; he & his brother were both found that way in an alley as babies. My vet xray’d (curiosity-no charge) to see if it was a birth defect or trauma. It was definitely broken off somehow yet he survived. She said a human would’ve died but animals are SO resilient.

Fb somehow animated my dad’s profile picture w/AI & I feel some type of way about it. Do they just do that now? I’m not sure how or why? But, watching the movement… it was almost like he is here I could almost smell him. 💔

I just flipped my calendar to July & saw THIS, right after Todd sent me a marketplace listing for a chest freezer & asked if I wanted it &, folks, after stacking cut gallon jugs filled w/ water for ice blocks, water bottles & ice cube trays in our dumb freezer like jenga, yes I do. Magic happens! 😆
Feels like temp is 108, not a sine cloud, so: BEAT DOWN BAKING SUN ALLLL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKYYY, the humidity is set at broccoli cheddar soup & Frida has set herself right down on top of the ice block outside the baby gate. This weather is not funny but her face is priceless. 😂🤣😂😆😆😆🥹🥹🥹

I just emailed my bosses to see if I can do half days in the office this week. The hundred+ degree days have me worried for the wee girls. They don’t have combs & wattles yet to help with temp regulating. I’m making ice blocks today for them. Scary scary. 😭😩😭😖😖😖😖🫤🫤🫤
