I had an amazing discovery when using Neighbors. My 4th G-GF, Jacob Labishiner, lived in Albany, NY. I plotted his residence from the 1880 US Census using Neighbors, and then layered in a 1876 historical map. I realized that his name was listed on the map as a property owner! #GenHour 3/6
Neighbors will require users to put in some work, but it's worth it! With Neighbors, you can add street addresses to profiles on your tree and they will plot on a map. This is perfect for seeing who from your family lived close to each other. You can also layer in historical maps! #GenHour 2/6

Hi #GenHour, I am back from a family cruise to Alaska. It was a great trip. We were lucky to have had excellent weather with little to no rain!
This looks to be a new tactic from the VA about the recent #FOIA requests. They will only give basic #genealogy information contained in civil records while withholding the claim file! What can I do to fight this?? @reclaimtherecords.org @alcalz.bsky.social @alecferretti.bsky.social

Hi #GenHour, today I heard from my cousin in France that the French-edition of our book has been printed. It looks great! The book is about the sister of my great-grandmother, who was my closest relative to have died in the Holocaust. It features letters she wrote to my great-grandmother. 1/2
