10. Arrhenius is named after Swedish chemist Svante Arrhenius. Arrhenius was one of the first, if not the first, people to lay out a formal case for human activity being able to impact the Earth's climate. I propose that the ICS and the @the-iugs.bsky.social name this period of time after Svante.
8. Arrhenius has different Heritages to choose from when making your character. One of them is the smarty-pants Dorrem, high-tech humans who burrowed into the bedrock in order to escape the oncoming glacial ice. My own personal headcanon is that the Dorrem eventually become H. G. Wells' morlocks.
