The media crisis we're facing can be summed up nicely by this screenshot of THR doing a scathing interview criticizing the Jackson estate and everyone still giving money to and profiting from Jackson's work that has ads running for Michael where THR is profiting from Jackson's work.

There is a physical sense of relief I get reading these words. To actually have the world described correctly.

Donald Trump does not think strategically. Nor does he think historically, geographically, or even rationally. He does not connect actions he takes on one day to events that occur weeks later. He does not think about how his behavior in one place will change the behavior of other people in other places.

He does not consider the wider implications of his decisions. He does not take responsibility when these decisions go wrong. Instead, he acts on whim and impulse, and when he changes his mind—when he feels new whims and new impulses—he simply lies about whatever he said or did before.

The most bang for my buck I got in the last year was this OXO garlic press. My old press was a mess and hard to use, I would chop garlic before I'd use it. But this thing is a dream, I use it at least once a week and it cleans so easy!

So many excellent Redford watches to recommend but I have to throw out one of my favorite movies of all time, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which has both Redford and Newman (and Katharine Ross!) being charismatic as hell in a fantastic script full of perfect one liners by William Goldman.

In Raleigh collecting donations for Chantal flood relief 12-3 today!

So it used to be if you had money you had the freedom to spend all your time learning how to do the things you love. Now if you have money you can buy the things you love without spending any time on it. Why learn? Why be better when you can just buy it?
