When I was trying to figure out whether Lindsey Graham had already said he wouldn’t run for another term like Mitch McConnell had after LG’s death yesterday, AI helpfully told me that his death was just a fictional scenario.
I was curious about this too, found this. Pingree won the nomination. mainemorningstar.com/2026/03/16/h...
I have kept a hope journal since November 15th, 2024 - a way to avoid doom spirals and stay energized. I wrote this in the back cover (first pic). I just started a new journal, and wrote this in the back cover (second pic).
Weather reports are not the only reason I follow you, but as someone who lives not far downstream of you, it's been useful more than once. (I did not know a storm was coming!)
He was super mad when fellow giant (but not beautiful) Chet Holmgren won MVP in an under-19 championship they played against each other. And Wemby rendered Chet entirely irrelevant in this final, deciding NBA Western Conference Finals game.
I came to a similar conclusion a couple of years ago and got this sticker - front and center as I work at my computer every day - to try to mush it into my brain. To be clear, the point is not that everything is actually peachy, but to try to operate from that starting point and look for the good.
I still haven't gotten a response on this one but I did just see a recommendation from Deaf Equity (Minnesota-based nonprofit) to get an app called ReadyNow. readynowapp.org
Yes, but who knows, it could be (just imagine all the straws are similarly labeled)
The cropping provides a better headline for a better article. "No, she did. Seriously."
I read this several hours ago now and I can't get it out of my head. We're talking about Tyler Robinson like he's the shooter and it's just technicalities from here. But what if he's not? "Implied"? The certified shitposter *implied* that he did this? www.nytimes.com/2025/09/13/u...
Did you know he had his own inflammatory tweet that (last I checked) was still up?
I’m not finding news coverage of it yet but there was a very similar one in Columbus, Ohio yesterday with great turnout. (Not my photo, just shared in the Indivisible Central Ohio FB group.)
Well how's this for a gut-punch. I just re-read the Bradbury story "A Sound of Thunder." The horror of it is that feckless Eckels causes the monstrous Deutscher to win the presidency. Below is the "before" description of Deutscher. The horrible end is: "We got an iron man now, a man with guts!"
Here’s the sign I made to yell at Husted outside of a fundraiser a couple of days ago
Better indication of crowd size, but this still isn’t everyone. I’d guess 1.5K-2K total?
Here's an email I received from them this morning. (I had asked them on the Facebook group on Monday, and the flyer here is the one I shared when I was asking about it.)
My Whole Foods yesterday. I went there for eggs. Not an egg to be found.
Just seeing this! I do not own a cat, regretfully, but this is a pic I took of a cat I visit frequently! He is very sweet if not that bright.
Hey @hankgreen.bsky.social wanna save democracy? This seems up your alley. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...
Also tax plan, deportation, and abortion. The timing of these searches kills me. Like actually murders me.
Not all boomers but damned if it isn’t predictable that if it’s a boomer, getting appropriate accommodations will be like pulling teeth.
