Sat with Mum in the semi-murk noticing that perhaps the birds were perhaps slightly less vocal than usual. In the absence of a colander I tried to take some shots through a CD. Hope it was as spiritual for you as it was for us. 🤣 TBF it was pleasantly cool and the wispy clouds were pretty #eclipse
Am going for the 'shittest picture of the eclipse' prize. Taken with my entry level Motorola in cloudy conditions through 3 pairs of sunglasses all layered together.
Without saying your age, what's your favourite film that came out when you were 18?
Truly gutted to hear the news last night that Anthony Head has left us, and even more so this morning finding out his lovely wife Sarah Fisher who was dedicated to animal welfare left us last year. Always thought they'd be a real pleasure to meet. The world was better for having them in it. 💔
It's not even 7.15am and already I've taken this bad boy off the dog's forehead. #winning
Hi Cathy - to be honest, life is coming at me fast and hard right now, but Kiko and I had a lovely walk this morning and the sun's out, so they are big wins. Hope all is well with you. x
The older I get and the more I experience the world, the more truth I find in Terry Gilliam's Brazil. It's basically a prophecy that had become a documentary of Western Society at this point.
Hi @colinmeows.bsky.social - based on experience so far - I've heard ADHD described as one of these ballpoint pens. When you think, you think about all the things at once and it's like mashing all the colours down at the same time so nothing works. The drugs help you manage one colour at a time.
And KLM43E has abandoned the entire mission and is going home. Bless them!
Meanwhile our friends in KLM961 have landed safely at Edinburgh and are approaching the terminal. Wild to think a few minutes ago they were above my head and now they're in Edinburgh while I've been snuggled up watching their progress in bed. Hope they have a safe night getting back to Newcastle.
Holy hell KLM43E! Have you lost your senses? Would not like to be on board that flight tonight. I'm invested now. How can I possibly sleep with this unresolved tension?
Meanwhile KLM43E has very much noped out of Leeds and is heading my way. It's carnage out there tonight!
Amid #StormDave blowing a hoolie outside I was surprised to hear an aircraft. After flying over my house twice it looks like KLM961 has noped out of its Newcastle landing tonight.
My broken candelabra was rescued by a man with a portable forge delivering a heritage craft workshop at work today. No one can understand how it got bent. He broke a decades old curse with fire, heat and light on this Spring Equinox day. Happy Equinox to you all. Here's to looking towards the light.
... before picking up this EPIC takeaway afternoon tea for three from Brocksbushes farm emporium in Northumberland and seeing the day out in a Mother's Day carb and cake coma with my folks. Will be gradually increasing the dose to three times what I had today. Generally feel cautiously optimistic.
It's around 8.20am and it's day 1 of ADHD meds. Now for the moment of truth. Will this be worth the long slog to get to this point? Will this help to fix the things that don't work in my life? Will I finally find a way to return to making my art and music and stay on top of my life and be happy?
Byoootiful floofs! Kiko would love to be there with the pair of them.
Sunday morning in Plessey Woods watching the sun burn through the mist.
Started beginners guitar group at @theglasshouseicm.bsky.social tonight. Took my heavily modded entry level Fender acoustic & was told quite spontaneously by the tutor that it had a gorgeous tone. Ultra-chuffed-my mods worked! Also my nickname in the group is now Rave Lady (pic is view on way out)
If you see this, post a rabbit. 🐰 Two for the price of one. I'd like to think these two are somehow now snuggled together somewhere in a better world than this one.
Gently meandered up the road today and saw the pretty thing in the sky. Felt so great to be outside with this fellow with all this year's medical dramas starting to melt into the past. The weight is lifting. Kiko is my Valentine every day because that's his middle name! Happy boy, happy Jill.
