She Who Must Be Obeyed: Get out every time the polls are open & vote-no excuses. Blue voter in a purple city in a very red state. I'm older & I've got more insurance. Views my own.
The face of a disgusted boy who was just head-butted by his kitty sibling, Oscar, but knew he would get in trouble if he barked in Oscar’s face.
Perfectly naughty - & Augie can be an asshole. But they will tell you the day they were dumped at a construction site down the street from my house was my lucky day. Augie being an asshole:
Wallace, Oscar & Dexter want to send a message that world peace is possible.
Zeldy, our former feral, is a gentle soul-we call him our Totoro cat-& a faithful box user. When my daughter started feeding him she thought he was female & named him Zelda.
Oscar has come for his morning pet. He was dumped in our neighborhood with his 2 brothers as 8 month old kittens, but his view is that we were very lucky to have the privilege of taking him in.
Peaceable Kingdom: Wallace, a terrier mix who wasn’t always sold on living with his kitty brothers, & 17-year-old Dexter, who wasn’t thrilled 11 years ago when puppy Wallace joined the family.
2 mourning dove fledglings are leaving the nest in our front yard, which we converted to a bird & butterfly sanctuary. 2 anxious parents are hovering & bringing food as they gather the strength to fly & we’re anxious parents too-intent on keeping a neighbor’s prowling Bengal cat away from our babies
At the National Opera’s phenomenal semi-staging of West Side Story at the beautiful Music Center at Strathmore, a trip we made to support an opera company that’s a national treasure but can no longer perform the Kennedy Center. Resistance isn’t futile; here’s a theater filled with resisters.
Wallace expresses the disgust of dogs everywhere along with the hope that this story will dog both Noems for the rest of their (hopefully short) public careers.
Oh, no, he’s totally smirking, because I’m not getting the food out there fast enough. He might follow with a pat or even a nip on the shoulder to remind me the food bowls are still empty. Below are his house-siblings, Augie & Oscar. All 3 were dumped in our neighborhood during the pandemic.
Eggsy is a big boy. Zeldy here gives the laser-eye stare when he thinks dinner should be served.
