The PIF is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, run by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and with current total estimated assets of $900 billion. The fund's purpose is to support development that will bolster Saudi Arabia's national economy, and it's been used to fund similar video game-related endeavors such as the acquisitions of Scopely, Niantic, SNK, and EVO, as well as investments in companies such as Nintendo, Take-Two Interactive, and more
